It is very difficult to give Tonar a background of any depth without a better understanding of your world. I can tell you that his father was a farmer, thus breaking a tradition of successful warriors going back beyond family memory. What made Tonar return to adventuring is the thing we haven't decided on. I contend that it was something extreme, because his adventuring is focused toward a certain goal. Right now, he believes that his goal is to see Whatshername ["One-eye," or Raesja Piromel] fall hard in justice for the traumatic event in his past. However, it is the nature of a good campaign to change its characters, and you twice mentioned a fact about the woman that may ultimately force Tonar to re-examine his own driving motivations. Not soon though. His drive is a cold sort of rage that makes him very calculating in which adventures he takes on. He frequently accepts a seemingly minor aventure if he believes it will ultimately serve his own agenda.
