The game is closed to more ACTIVE players, unless:

• you are the mother/father of all roleplayers
• you offer to pay the rest of my college tuition, or
• you hold my sister/mother/father/boyfriend hostage.

I am open to applications for the waitlist, which is unlimited. Due to the number of active players, I will probably let the active list drop below 5 or 6 before pulling in new players. Read the setting and rules before applying! It'll save time. I will pull in people in the order that makes sense, though I'll try to preserve the (currently nonexistent) queue.

NEW: If a current player abandons the game, his/her character may be available as an "adoptable" PC for a new player to take over. In that case, you wouldn't need to send in a character or history, but I would still require a writing sample (to see how well you and the character match up). In addition, I would ask you to read the character's past moves (which I'd be happy to send you), though I could answer any questions. :-) Just in case.

Campaign Goals

• Qenar: Qoren Talos, Frenil Bentyr, and Takashi Shibano
  Your goal is to get into the Ashen Lands and find out what's going on with the renegade wraiths--in particular, what was meant by "a promise made, a woken shade. The bargain was yours, not ours."
• Harava: Yasmaili, Caeric Thalsingir (soon)
  Caeric's goal is to find out the truth behind the wraiths' long stay in Qenar. Yasmaili's is to help prevent, or at least warn of, the imminent invasion of Qenar by the desert tribes. The two goals will very likely become intertwined.
• Avrezin: Marika, So Fooyan, Shakra Amal, Tonar (soon)
  Your goal is to gather information about the imminent invasion of Qenar from the West, and if possible, to convince the peace-minded powers in Avrezin to block this potential disaster...especially if the renegade wraiths get loose. In particular, Marika and Shakra Amal will be asked to find the missing commandant-errant, Vanen Miris.

This is a new site for the Black Wall. I've moved to Angelfire. All future information and updates will be posted *here,* not at the Nest.

Moves through Story 5 have been archived (see Archived Moves). (Due to rolling moves some players are ahead of others in the numbering scheme.) Recently added or updated: Marika's Prologue 13, Frenil, Takashi and Qoren's Story 3, So Fooyan & Shakra's Story 1.

There is a co-GM for this game, Andrew Toth. His assistance has already proven invaluable.

Portrait contributions by the players for their characters and other art submissions are welcome and will be credited. :-) (You can also request that I draw something for you, though I don't guarantee I'll have the time.) You can look at a portrait of Yasmaili by Michelle Bottorff (the player); the link is also on Yasmaili's character sheet. There's now a portrait of Frenil Bentyr by me (YHL), a link on Frenil's character sheet.
