This Poem by Lavender
Harry Potter is a boy who goes to Hogwarts school
He used to live on Privet drive where treated very cruel.
Then on midnight of July 31
A giant man who was lots of fun
took Harry away to learn and play
with wizards of his age and day.
So he is learning many things
Like transfiguration and Defense of things
His teachers are good except for a few,
Professor Snape is one who calls Harry eww!
He seems to find trouble whatever year,
has several close calls while facing his fears.
So Harry's a wizard, a great one at that,
who defeated the Dark lord during darkness and black
he is now called a hero by all of his kind,
Harry Potter? A wizard? The best one you'll find!
The Boy Who Lived-by Lavender
He was friendless, alone,
and ignored while at home
Plus beaten by his pig cousin Dudley.
He was yelled at by Vernon and kicked at by Marge, (both of whom happened to be quite large!)
But he lived through this care with his messy black hair and a scar!
But this weak, scrawny boy
had a neat little toy
that he had no idea about.
For he was a wizard, and a good one at that
and he had lived through an amazing attack!
All he remembers is a bright flash of green,
a high, cold cruel laugh and an ear-splitting scream.
Who is this boy, the mysterious one,
who lived through an attack with no harm done?
He is Harry Potter,
THE BOY WHO LIVED!!!

Dumbledore
The head of this school, I tower them all,
people call me the genius, the best one of all.
My beard and my hair; they stretch down to the floor,
people want to be me, and them I adore.
The Dark Lord, he fears me,
The students, they hear me,
and I trust them, or at least plenty.
My bird is a phoenix,
Fawkes is his name,
He's quick and intelligent
and is certainly not lame.
I have a particular liking for Lemon Drops,
What I want for Christmas is a pair of wool socks.
My first name is Albus, not a letter more,
My last name is simple, I am Dumbledore.
Filch
I find students with my cat,
I give them detentions, no more than that.
I clean up the messes they make with my mop,
they leave all their junk and their stuff and their slop.
I'm not really a wizard, I'm a squib so you know,
I use secret passages so I'm not too slow.
Severus Snape finds pleasure in me,
I have a certian liking for he.
I am the caretaker, I clean up the filth,
My name is nothing more than Filch.
Peeves
My name is Peeves, I am so cruel,
I'm the poltergiest of Hogwarts school.
I love to tease and taunt the students,
no, I never have learned prudence.
To bother Filch is so much fun,
I like to throw stuff at everyone.
I like to catch students in the hall,
I bounce and scream off the walls.
So if you cause trouble in the school,
I'll be quite happy to tell on you!
So now you realize your fate
If you mess with Peeves the great!
The Houses of Hogwarts
Ravenclaw Ravenclaw, smart and trying,
you always look out with a sharp eye.
A bird is your symbol, truth and heart,
all of your students will never part.
Hufflepuff, Hufflepuff, you are quite loyal,
no one will be caught worried or in toil.
A badger is there, representing you
all of your students have a heart that is very true.
Slytherin, Slytherin, this house is known as sour,
the students here have their minds set at having power.
The serpent represents your minds:
what you seek is what you find.
Gryffindor, Gryffindor, your students here are brave,
the students here have the minds that many want to crave.
The lion represents your heart, it is always trying,
and the souls of the bravest ones are always, always flying.
So as a student coming here, we hope you realize,
that wherever you are put you will always be prized!
