The Quest for Lantri

The bells were ringing; the church was full. Today, the children of the three most powerful people on Niagara were to wed, to seal a pact made hundreds of years ago. One child from each of the three clans was to marry into one of the other two. It worked perfectly, Lunzie Istari and Marshane Benden, Moreta Benden and Furlo Telgar, Fiolla Telgar and Lantri Istari.

There was just one small problem. No one could find Lantri. The clan leaders agreed to continue with the ceremony without him.

Weeks had passed since then, but Lunzie couldn’t help but think something was wrong with her brother. Lantri wouldn’t have just taken off like that; his sense of honor would never allow it. Trying to talk to her father did no good, Lord Istari told her to forget him, but she couldn’t.

Marshane, not able to see Lunzie so sad and distraught finally told her to go and search for her brother. With a heavy heart, Lunzie left Niagara and her beloved husband to find Lantri.

Lunzie had been called back to Niagara by her father. It had been a long time since she'd been back, and it was good to see everyone, especially Marshane. She was now returning to her forest home she new that no one would be there, but the lack of people would give her a bit more time to think and work out a plan. She'd finally gotten some information on the location of her brother . . .the first lead in over 2000 years.
