Ewok Videos

Ewoks-The Battle For Endor is a film that very few people know about. It was produced in 1986 by George Lucas and is the second of two Ewok films made. It was written by Lucas. It contains Ewoks, blasters, star crusers and, of course, the manditary battle at the rear of the movie. The only thing that make it a 'non-Star Wars' movie is the fact that nowhere in the film, or even on the box, does it have Star Wars written. Could this be because it was distributed by MGM?.

To be honest, when I first watched it I was quite amazed at how little this film had been recognised in the Star Wars fan community. The whole film may take place on Endor and the only known chatacter is Wicket the ewok, but there are still new alien species and spaceships to see. I tried to look for information but could find nothing.

There are still a couple of things that seem wrong. Wicket can talk in English and many of the bad guys ride horses. Also, in the prequel movie the whole story is based upon the rescue of the childrens parents. They are then quickly killed of at the beginning of this film. Overall this film is okay but will only be apreciated by Star Wars fans and children. If anybody knows where there is a decent site could you please tell me.

The summary on the back of the box reads:

On the mysterious moon of Endor another wonderful Ewok fantasy begins. After taking on the infamous Darth Vador ( this is not my spelling mistake) the ewoks have returned in Ewoks: The Battle For Endor. The evil marauders led by giant King Terak and his cunning companion Witch Charel (Sian Phillips) attack and destroy the wok village. Orphaned and alone young Cindel escapes into the forest of fiends. However, Cindel is soon befriended by the Ewok, Wicket, a mischevious furry creature named Teek and a grouchy bearded old man called Noa. Kidnapping, impenetrable fortress dungeons, giant fish like beasts, and a magic power crystal are all part of the adventure which is only just beginning.....
