After failing to stop the assasination of Lord
King, a British oil baron whose family has been good friends with him for
years, James Bond begins to wonder whether he's getting too old for his
line of work. But his concerns are pushed aside when he learns what has
happened to Valentin Zukofsky, the ex-KGB criminal who helped him find
the traitorous Agent 006 Alec Trevelyan four years go. Seemed Zukofsky
has teamed with King's rival Renard who wants control of King's oil pipelines
in the
Caspian Sea - pipelines linking to a massive new well that could
easily replace the dwindling resources in the Persian Gulf and could
be worth billions to whomever controls it.
Bond must now track them down and stop them after
he learns they plan to kidnap the only heir to all of Lord King's estate
- his beautiful daughter Electra. On this journey, Bond will find help
from a beautiful French woman name Christmas, discover the shifting loyalties
of those he once trusted or hated, learn the true nature of revenge, and
confront the darkest secret of his past - a secret he knows nothing about
and one that will change him forever.
