Welcome to Sublimation.tk, the homepage of Zombies Ate My Productions, and domain of a rather spooky little girl who likes to draw what she sees on the inside of her eyelids. Navigate by using the links bar to your left. That is all.
Zombies Ate My Productions is a small, catch-all company operating out of a little used corner of cyberspace. No-one has quite worked out who, where or what we are. Not even us. So quit asking already.
News
01 October 2006 - Eh, I'm bad at this
We have updates. Blasphemy, Blood Magic, Entity and Dragonstones have been updated.
The other news is that I'm working on a new website. The bad news is that it's going to be a lot smaller.
The good news is that it's going to be a lot smaller.
All the writing will still be there, as that's the core of the website. I've slowly but surely discovered that art is not my forte - or rather, drawing and painting are not my fortes, so much of the art may not survive the transition. Photography, textiles and sculpture are, and I mostly explore these through my dolls, so the new website will have a nice healthy big section for that. My main reason for drawing always was - and still is - that I couldn't quite accurately convey an image in my head in words without it taking up more space than the action. Thus I'm rather considering letting each story have it's own gallery page of sketches and suchlike.
Thus, the new website will consist of: Writing section, with sketch pages. Doll section, sub divided into storylines, with profiles, photos, and probably a for sale page. Small art section for those pieces of genuine artistic merit. Small biography section with contact information and a few recomendations in the fields of music, film and linkage. And that's it.
Hopefully, I'd like it to be up middle of next month, because next month (Hopefully) I can afford to spend money on some proper webspace. Until then, I'm going to be working on graphics et cetera. The old website will stay up for the interim time - it won't go down until I've already moved over as much as possible. Over and out ~Ash
10 July 2006 - Told you.
There's lots of fun new stuff. I got a laptop for my birthday, but it's taken me about two weeks to get Word installed so I haven't been writing for about two weeks. That said...
Blasphemy, 48:00, Dragonstones and Sandstorm have been updated - it's a big one for Blasphemy, a slightly smaller one for 48:00, and not a lot at all really for the other two. I've got a lot of time on my hands at the moment (Year out, no job yet, etc etc etc) and with the added advantage of having a computer readily avaliable at any hour of the day or night I anticipate doing a lot more writing than I have been. I also maybe anticipate possibly actually buying some webspace - glory be.
I'm pretty sure that the email forwarding program I was using WASN'T working, so if you've recently (Or possibly not so recently, it was intermittent for a while) sent a mail to ashley@sublimation.tk, it probably didn't get to me. Changed the links, so try writing to someoneinspace@hotmail.com instead, and I should get it (Barring overzealeous spam filter, of course). If you didn't send me an email... well, please do. I like getting mail. If you can't think of anything to write about, tell me what you think of the latest turn of events in the Blasphemy universe, or whether I described the Geheimboekhandel appropriately, or which story you really love that I haven't updated in FOREVER, get on with it! - Or whatever, y'know.
And that's about it for now. I'm working on building a website for my dolls, actually, and working on a new children's book called Henrietta And The Vampire. It has a twist ending. Promise I'll come back and update some more stuff soon. Over and out ~ Ash
07 June 2006 - Well, whadda ya know. Almost back when I said I would be.
It's still gonna be quiet until July, and heaven help me, I haven't written Danse Macabre yet (Although I've been listening to it a lot lately) but there's another snippet in the Finished section, 'Midnight In The Garden Of Dusk'. Don't you love a good oxymoron?
6 April 2006 - Uploaded Minuet, the next chapter of the 'Symphony' series. Only two to go! ... Probably worth warning you, not that one, and probably not Danse Macabre either, but Lacrimosa is likely to be a bit... graphic and nasty. So if you have a problem with the fact that it's all gonna end... graphic and nasty, don't read it.
You're unlikely to hear much from me now until at least the end of May. But if nothing happens here between now and July, don't be surprised. My livejournal will most likely be updated with irregular frequency, and there's occasionally some stuff about writing there. Alas, exams come before writing. And just about everything else, really...
11 February 2006 - A happy new year to you all. Both regular and Chinese varieties. Hell, I'm almost in time to wish you a happy Valentine's day as well (As a matter of fact, mine will be very happy, as I'm going to watch Lady Vengeance with some friends and then eat overpriced ice cream) I've been absent so long. I've beaten the beast of exams into remission with a paintbrush and a Biology text book, but that ugly sonuvabitch is gonna be back.
Here's the important part: The updates. The following stories have been updated: Arcadia, Blasphemy, Blood Magic, Broken Children, Never Say Never and Swamps And White Horses. I'm about to go through my non-present works in progress right about now, to see if any are ready to appear on the website. <= And what d'you know, there is. Go read The Night Below And Beyond for post-apocalyptic steam punk fun with spider bustles, katana weilding Goth kiddies and genetically cloned red setters. The art is being stalled just that little annoying bit longer while I search for my PSP disc, but I've got the week off and it should happen. Zombies Ate My Productions has dissapeared just when I finally might have a use for it, given that it now actually has something to produce, but since it can only produce films and shockingly there some other things I am producing right now, I'll wait until I've got some good solid bits and pieces (So people will actually want to visit the website) and go ahead and pay for a webpage for Flying Black Umbrella Industries, which is the umbrella (hah hah hah) that all sub companies owned by me belong to. I like making up companies. For now, I shall simply say: Voodoo lizards. Princess in hospital wards. Alice and the East Asian New Wave.
Now, because It's my website and I can cry if I want to, I shall post the following. It should probably go on my livejournal, given that that's the universal internet depository of 'Yes, but!', but it's my website after all and I'm accepting that some of you may not read my livejournal. You weirdos.
It's kinda an excuse.
Sometime, maybe not soon, but within the year, I should hope, I shall have all of my present works in progress on this website. They currently number twenty-eight. One of those is a children's book which probably you won't see until I've finished the illustrations too. One is part of the Symphony series, which I kinda think of as one work in progress anyway. One you probably won't see until it's finished, because it's short enough that it won't be past my self-imposed minimum word count before webitilising until I've finished it, like most of the works in the 'finished' section. Two are short stories, but short stories that will probably span some ten or fifteen pages, if not more, and thus will probably briefly make an appearance in the 'in progress' section. The rest are novels.
So basically, there will be twenty-three novels and two short stories in the works in progress section, whereas there are currently twelve novels. In other words, I'm denying you eleven novels and two short stories, but I'm getting them to you as soon as I can.
Here's the bad news - I've made the decision that, until one of those twenty-three is finished, I'm not allowed to start anything new that'll take longer than eight pages to write. The reason for this is my 'works not yet in progress' file. This is a file containing all the synopsis of stories I would like to write and would otherwise have started already (And would probably mostly still be less than the webitilisng minimum word limit).
It is thirteen pages long and contains everything from a twenty page extended vingette to a thirteen book series, spanning no less that fifty titles.
And I'm adding to it all the time.
This is, as you can probably guess, a bad thing, because until my written output equals the rate at which I come up with new stories, I'm not going to start seriously hacking away at that file. At the moment, because of various stresses and strains, both written output and new concept output are virtually nil.
But just think... once I leave school, I'll have enough time (And brain power) on my hands to write a good two or three hours a day, if I want to. Just think... over fifty stories for you to read.
And I ain't goin' nowhere until I've finished them all.
28 December 2005 - Skeleton building over in the Linkage section. I'm horribly sick at the moment so not a lot's getting done, but if you like webcomics or arty people then you may find some things to interest you. Um... that's about it. Yes, I know there's still some broken links in that section... I'm working on it.
24 December 2005 - Yes, I am THIS committed to this website!
... Actually I just have no life and spend all my time on the computer. Bite me.
Two new finished stories, a new work in progress. Still scrabbling at the Art front. I am embarking on two new projects at the moment, which will of course be shared, as well as A-level coursework. I won't be sharing that. Trust me, really, you don't want to see it.
Happy Various Holidays, Yo - Over and out ~Ash
18 November 2005 - Okay, yet again, my bad. But I have been doing bits and pieces all this time, just not flagging them up. So, what have I done?
I've updated my bio a little. It's now much more accurate in terms of hair colour, piercings and boots owned.
I've got two new stories up in the 'Finished' section (Omigawds!) but you've got to read them in the right order. Promise me you will.
And I've got two new stories up in the 'In Progress' section, and a few itty bitty uploads to most others. I can't remember which, exactly. Hell, just go read all of them again.
And when you've done that, click on the button that says 'Ramblings of a Luckless Zombie', which'll take you to my Livejournal, click on the 'Comment' button to the most recent entry (or any of them, really) and tell me what your favourite story of mine is, and why. Pretty please? I don't get NEARLY enough feedback.
Oh yes, and there's more art on the way. But don't hold your breath.
