Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls

How I love thee... let me count the ways. You look really real. You do whatever I want you to. I can change your eyes and hair with a lot more ease than I can change mine. I can make you do stupid stuff and you never complain. I can pop your eyes out and sit you on the end of my brother's bed to terrify him when he wakes up. Ah, the memories...

Information Sites

Den Of Angels - The best starting place if you want to know what the hell these babies are. The forums are also pretty good (I'm on 'em, and pretty frequently too) and although the site itself is very Volks focussed, it's a good place for figuring things out without making a fool of yourself.

Giggle Geek - A directory of most (not all, but she's working on it) BJD's on the market, complete with pictures, sizes, body examples etcetera. Any information you can't find here can probably be gathered by dint of a little effort on the DoA forums.

Clothes, Shoes, Wigs, Eyes And Accessories Etcetera

Undead Threads - Free patterns for SD

Jamie's Shop - Little bits and pieces that every discerning Super Dollfie insists they should have - food, cellphones, bags, rifles... or maybe that's just my Bonnie. Anyhow, prices are good, selection is reasonable!

Reve En Poupee - No, I don't know what it means either. All you need to know is that these babies make some of the best - And I MEAN the best - wigs avaliable. If you don't see anything you like, they can make it for you. They can even make them in my size... if only they'd bring in some more weird and wonderful colours, and they'd probably have down payment on my soul.

Doll Heart - Although I mourn their far too small variety of MSD sized clothing (I can't afford a 60cm doll yet!) their shoe collection can best be described as: ZOMGWOW! I've heard a lot of people say that they won't spend $40 on a pair of shoes for their dolls, but since I spend in excess of $200 on a pair of boots for me, I have no qualms. And Jack does look so very nice as a lolita...

Lilliputia's Loft - Simple, yet elegant beauties of design. Good prices, too!

Yume Yori Suteki Na - Fake fur wigs of many styles and a lovely little set of very dashing MSD patterns too.

iDoll Star - Offically some of the most gorgeous silicone eyes I have ever seen. They also do doll heads and a few accessories, but since I don't speak Korean very well(Or read it at all) their site scares me just a little. Just a little. Maybe something to do with the fact that the reason they make such good doll eyes is that they also make real false eyes... Korean langauge site.

Actual Dolls

Dollmore - Sells Dollmore, Narsha, Elf Elly (Banji), Serendipity, Dollshe (Hound etc), Narin, Blythe, Pullip, Sonokong, Doll In Mind (DIM) and Dolkot dolls. That's a lotta dolls. They normally have a good stock of special editions too. On top of all that resin glory, they also carry a huge selection of clothes, reasonable numbers of shoes and wigs, a range of eyes including the glories that are SOOM, eyelashes, accesories, SD sized glasses (GET MSD SIZED ONES, YOU BASTARDS!), carrier bags, underwear and customising tools.

Angel Region - Carries Angel Region (AR) Fair, Little Fair and Little Gienie, as well as Notdoll Lab and Naripon dolls. They also have a small selection of eyes, some very sensible shoes (In three sizes, no less) and a truly sublime selection of wonderful wigs.

Blue Fairy International - Carries Blue Fairy (BF) Tiny Fairy and Pocket Fairy, and... well, not a lot else, actually, but I'm sure they're working on the wigs and clothes and that. Gorgeous sculpts.

Dream of Doll - Carries Dream of Doll Dream of Child (DOC) and Dream of Teen (DOT) dolls, reasonable selection of wigs and eyes, loads of gorgeous clothes (Even if they're a bit of a pain to get hold of) and some shoes, accessories and tools.

Volks - The Ones That Started It All. Carries Volks Super Dollfie (SD), Mini Super Dollfie (MSD), Super Dollfie Cute (SDC), Young Super Dollfie (Yo-SD) and, if you poke around a bit, Dollfie Dream (DD). And at some point, they may organise the Full Choice System (FCS) on the web, but until then you'll have to pay through the nose to go through a service. They also carry eyes, including the much sought after (And cripplingly expensive) Zoukei-mura, wigs avaliable in many different colours, and some other bits and bobs.

Luts - Carries Ceberus Project (CP) Delf, Kid Delf, Mini Fee and Cutie Delf, as well as Dollshe (Hound etc), Elfdoll (Rainydoll), Iple House, Konjidoll, Nottdoll Lab, Peakswood and Pullip. Quite a few wigs and eyes, lots of clothes and shoes, plenty of other odds and ends. Home of Delf El, arguably the single most gorgeous boy sculpt ever created (Hound coming in a close second, based on an arbitrary measure of nosebleeds on the DoA forums).

Custom House - Carries Custom House (CH) Ai, Petite Ai, Junior Ai and Little Junior. Reasonable selection of wigs, not so hot on eyes (Although they do carry the hard to find 22mms - but then again, how many dolls wear 22mm eyes?), and a small selection of clothes and shoes, tending to do better on the smaller sizes. Since there's not so many places you can find cute shoes for dolls that small, tis pretty good.

Happy Doll - Carries Happy Doll (HD) Basic, Junior, Elf and Lilliput, as well as Blythe. Don't let the super gloss SUPER glossy lip gloss put you off, they have some nice sculpts, a good selection of wigs and eyes, quite a bit of clothing, some gorgeous shoes (They carry Dollheart - need I say more?) and a fair number of eyelashes.

SOOM - Carries SOOM Gem and Mini Gem. Also home of the amazing bouncing squishy SOOM eyes, which have downpayment on my soul, some clothes, a pretty good selection of wigs (Albeit somewhat limited in size), Luts shoes and a range of doll making equipment

Soul Doll - Carries Soul Doll, Soul Doll Kids (Which I officially want to take home and snuggle to death) and Soul Doll Little (Not sure what the abbriviations are, because SD is already taken. Boy howdy, is it taken). Some pretty damn swish and inexpensive eyes, avaliable in most if not all sizes, and a few, but not many, shoes, clothes and wigs.

Change8023 on Ebay - Carries Dollzone (DZ) dolls as well as some pretty damn cool Hound sized clothing.

Iplehouse - Carries Iple-I and Dollshe (Hound etc) dolls, a selection of really kickin' clothes (Although they tend towards the bigger sizes), and small selections of eyes and mohair wigs. There's also a few shoes and accessories, and bedclothes if you're so inclined (No, it was your mind, not mine, that made that into a dirty comment).

Limhwa Doll - Carries Limwha and Limho, and the moment we get the language barrier sorted out we'll know exactly what to do about it...

Leekeworld Europe - Carries Doll Leeke and officially the most kickin' range of wigs ever. Apparantly some of the more unsual colours have been axed, but the Europe site is still showing them so this I must inquire apon (And then pursue the possibilities of deep green ringlets).

Serendipity Doll - A wee bit confusing, but basically carries male and female versions of baby (Cumi), 5- (Lovely Frey/Freya), 7- (Valentine) and 14- (Valencia/Freya) year-old dolls, including option parts, which is a godsend because those bodies pose like a dream.

Domuya - Carries Domuya O.N.E. 30, 42 and 60, a selection of Ajumapama shoes, clothes and wigs, and a few of their own clothes too. Again with the super posing bodies...

Mythdoll - Carries Mythdoll 1/3 and 1/4 dolls... about four wigs, and a few other little bits and pieces. We're all there for the dolls, anyway.

Muse Doll - Carries Muse Doll heads, a few stunning outfits and OMGWTFWOW shoes. Korean langauge site.

Free Spiritz - The slow loading US site that carries Angel Region (AR), Doll In Mind (DIM), Elf Doll (Rainydoll), Jun Planning, Konjidoll, Nottdoll Lab, Serendipity, Soul Doll and their own 16" resin BJDs, plus a whole load of shoes, clothing and wigs.

Doll Art & Art Dolls

Tarot - The Asian Ball-Jointed Doll Tarot Deck. In progress, but has some truly stunning photography.

Paper Moon - Life size ABJD (Well... over four feet at least), mostly modelled on Anime characters. They have CHI! Japanese language site.

Chateau De Lune - The dolls of Koitsukihime, which are big and beautiful and scarily real. Going under 'art dolls' rather than 'actual dolls' because A. Anything with that level of handmade skill counts as art and B. anything I can swap clothes with is not going to sit and play with Jack and Bonny. Yet. Japanese language site.

Simotuki - The weird and wonderful art dolls of Simotuki. Oddly stylised, oddly fascinating. I can't speak Japanese so I don't now anything else. Japanese language site.

Chiaroscuro - Kiyakotari's beautiful dolls, with a lovely gallery and a far more extensive links section than mine.

The Controversial Doll Forums - Doll art celebrating the weird, the wonderful, and the obscene. Basically if you're gonna offend someone with it, you can post it here and (Hopefully) nobody bothers you.

Resin Hearts - The Naomi and Grimm saga. If you watch DoA, you need to be told no more. If you don't... well, tis good photography and some of the stories are quite sweet (Although Bonnie insists that she's never gonna turn out like that, and y'know, I believe her).
