Life Finds A Way
Although hideously bastardised by Jurrasic Park (Which was amusing, by the way, but nothing to crow about plotwise) this statement is both wonderfully true and hideously true. Wonderfully, because you can't sit and watch hummingbirds for half an hour without wondering about what brilliant acid addict came up for the design for those babies. Hideously, because... well, ever seen tropical carrion fly larvae crawling about in somebodies living flesh? Or those freakish mutant frogs with like six legs? Or camel spiders? Do you know what camel spiders do? I'm not telling you here. You'll have to go look it up.
But anyway, even in a land of crystalised insanity and moonlight, there's water. And where there's water, there's life.
