Leo'Thai'Lothnen Commander
So anyways, in the world of Blood Magic, that novel I'm always working on but never seem to do any more to, the whole species issue gets bloody complicated. Cause you see, not only do you have the native species (Anthropomorphic and 'spirit' versions of a large number of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, insects and fish, (And, admittedly, some plants) not to mention all the various fairy related races, half-animal things like centaurs and merpeople and suchlike, not to mention a whole lot of things I just made up (You can tell which ones those are... trust me), not to mention undead, crossbreeds and hybridisations), but a single, very small part of the world has discovered space travel, and so you occasionally get about two dozen species of alien roaming central Asia, and they live in a multiverse which is perfectly capable of opening gates between the universes, so you get all kinds of weird and wonderful things from the various planes, including devils and angels, who have their own places in the material plane that are actually permenant gateways to their home planes.
Anyway, the Leo'Thai'Lothnen are one of the weirder species, from a highly ordered plane. They're practically useless, given the fact that they have three fingers with broadly flattened ends, no nose (Therefore no sense of smell), expressionless faces, a mouth that can't handle the vast majority of kinds of speach, eyes that can't distinguish lighting or colouration, only form, so reading or writing with ink on paper is impossible and they need it inscribed, which they can't do themselves, because they can't hold pens. Their hearing is Ok. They also happen to be made primarily of solidified and stabilised energy, which takes a hell of a lot to unstabilise, meaning they're pretty much impossible to kill and don't need to eat or drink, but also that they trail off at about where the base of their ribcage would be, if they had a ribcage, to weird tenrils of energy. Their clothes come in dozens and dozens of layers, all hang off the arms and shoulders with no waist (Cause they don't have one) and all interconnect in weird and wonderful ways. They're also famed as great minds, having a huge amount of thinking power inside those golden noggins, especially generals and other kinds of tacticians. So here is a Leo'Thai'Lothnen general, preparing the field of battle. I was much too lazy to draw in a map.
