Bethan Siangala
So...
I was looking through my D&D books, and though 'Hey, I'd actually really like to do a comic about this'.
Thus born was Luthella, cheeky, bad-ass, back-talking half elven thief whose most famous line was "If you'd told me, a week ago, that I'd accidentally burst in on the secret machinations of an evil cult, be persued over rooftops by flying demons, fall over the wall into the palace grounds, subsequently get framed for the murder of the king, and, through a highly improbable and less than pleasant series of events, end up playing nursemaid to a spoilt princess on the run from infernal assassins and her only guard, an arachnaphobic drow who's as useful as a butter sword in the hand of Mephistopheles, I would have laughed at you."
"Well, actually, I would have told you to fuck off, then hit you over the head and stolen all your money, but that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue."
Said arachnaphobic drow was one Syne Siangala, who wasn't quite as useless as she thought he was, and Luthella actually ended up marrying him about two years down the line, cause I pretty much fell in love with the character. And there was a varied cast of characters, including a halfling with a Scottish accent who named her pony 'Ya wee bastard', a dwarven bard who made a point of shaving every morning, because 'Tis not right that a woman should go around in this day and age with a beard. She never gets taken seriously', a half-fiendish paladin who completely and utterly fell in love with his squire, a half-nymph who'd moved from the path of the ranger to the path of righteousness, but since they were both paladins, they weren't allowed to do anything about it, and, more importantly, Syne's sister. Bethan was pretty damn cool, and ended up, at around epic levels (The story arcs got this far. The drawings didn't even come close), when Syne and Luthella had their own city, leading an elite band of female underworld assassins. She also somehow aquired a five headed draco whip and a demonic asperi.
The asperi is too small, but hey, I like it.
