ALBUM REVIEW

I am a HUGE fan of Incubus I have all five of their albums to date but I must say listening to the new one made me very very depressed. Maybe it's because I expect a higher standard from them, but I can't help feeling that the new album was released solely to make a quick buck. All the uniqueness and originality that makes a band recognisable even before a word is sung has disappeared from this band of five.

I ran through the tracks and each song almost sounded the same, started the same and ended the same. This was magnified by the fact that they all sounded like amateurish rock songs by a band with no musical experience, given that the band has a very talented dj, the music which consisted of simple riffs made a note that maybe he doesn't live on our plane anymore.

Last but not least the lead singer (brandon)has changed registers in his voice and now officially sounds like he belongs in Placebo which is even more distressing. I've got my ticket for their tour down under but like regurgitator sings "I like ur old stuff better than ur new stuff"
