Peebles Plaza Opening
Peebles Plaza. A simple shopping area located in Gettysburg across the street from Wal-Mart. The Plaza consists of Gettysburg Family Restraunt, AAA, Sam Gooddy, Wine and Sprites, Dollar Tree, Payless, Staples, and a few others. The center was home to one of the first 24 hour stores which was festival foods (Now it is Staples.) All the buildings there are owened by a company (like most shopping centers.) and I belive the company that ownes it is monahans.
Interview
This section show what people think of the town and and the plaza. The person interviewed was Denise Stultz. Okay her are nine examples of the questions. (M is Me and D is Denise)
M: How long have you lived in Gettysburg?
D: I have lived in Gettysburg since I was ten
M: What do you think of the town?
D: It is a beautiful town and it has so much history
M: When was the first time you visited Peebles Plaza?
D: In 1988 When the stores first opened
M: What atracted you to the plaza?
D: It had the very first 24 hour store (Festival Foods)
M: Why do you continue to go there?
D: It is a "1 stop" shopping center, you can eat dinner in one place and get your clothing and medical needs in another place.
M: What would you like to see happen to the plaza?
D: I would like to see a new grocery center go in and a Taco Bell.
M: Do you think it would help if the plaza was expanded? Why/Why not?
D: Yes, there could be other forms of stores that would keep people spending money and it would help with the economy of Gettysburg rather than traviling to Hanover or Chambusburg like most people have to do now.
M: Do you think the items sold are of high quality? Why/Why not?
D: Some, However I fel the prices of peebles are too high. People on limited income and families can't afford their prices.
M: What type of stores would appeal to the general public?
D: A store like K-mart or Ames would keep the proces down because they'd be in conpetition with Wal-Mart across the high way.
Sum Up
After summing up the interviews almost everybody thinks Peebles Plaza is useful but it could have a couple extensions and a new store or two.
