Bio of Blaze-(a.k.a. colton grundy)

In July of 2000 a new dead body emerged out of the Psychopathic Records family, and brought forth a gansterous style of horror to the dark carnival grounds. The dead body know as Blaze Ya Dead Homie, AKA Colton Grundy, former gangster turned corpse, moved on to become an underground icon – this is the story. Colton grew up on the east side of Mt. Clemens, MI. Were he was subjected to a life of crime at an early age. Colton spent the latter portion of his life in and out of jail, so many times, that by the time he was 15 he had a rap sheet longer then both of his arms put together. Colton also had a history of drug abuse, mostly marijuana, which quickly earned him his name on the streets of “Ya Homie Blaze”. It seems no matter where he was, he was always smoking his trade mark swisher sweet roll-up of green funk, and when people on the street would ask him to put it out he would always reply – “come on – it’s me, Ya Homie Blaze – mind your business and I might let you live!” Sounds funny but, the Blaze I know would kill someone in a split second, with out thinking twice about it – a cold blooded gangster! And with the way he would smoke, drink, and thug out of control, it was only a matter of time before someone peeled his cap. In October 12, of 1989 Colton l. Grundy was gunned down by 3 members of a rival gang in a drive by shooting in front of his mothers home while making a drug transaction. Grundy’s body was buried in the Peadmont Cemetery were he remained contained for almost 11 years, until the spirits of beyond contacted his angered ghost and offered him a deal. The deal was simple for the most part. His life was to be returned in exchange for other lives, many other lives! Colton eagerly agreed to the deal but would soon find out that he was to get the shitty end of it. Alive again, yes but, what's life when your spending it in a decaying, and rotted body? Enter Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Now what? Blaze tried to reunite with members of his former clique but, the thought of a dead man slanging rocks just didn’t seem to logical. They told him he would be “blowin up the spot” so to speak, him being dead and all. Over the next few months Blaze juggled a hand full of odd jobs like, being a bus boy at Melvin's burger house for almost a week, until he was fired for coughing up blood and bile on a customer and his children. With nothing left to turn to in the world, Blaze called long time friend JD tha weed-man, hoping to get in contact with Paul, JD’s brother. When Blaze had been alive, Paul and Jamie were working on some music things and always talked of bringing out a record. Blaze always wanted to do something with music and would sit in on their studio sessions, and even went as far as to start a rap group called "Two Krazy Devils" back in the day. Keep in mind that 11 years have passed, and if you haven’t guessed it yet – Jamie & Paul are Twiztid. Well, at least now they are, back then they were House Of Krazees. The phone call was a success, and later that night Blaze was patched through to Monoxide. Monoxide told Blaze flat out “if your dead, then you got 1 of 2 options. You can go back to the cemetery and lay down and die some more, or join The Hatchet and help us spread the word of The Dark Carnival!” Well, that’s not exactly what he said but, I heard the story a couple of times from Blaze and, that’s pretty damn close. Naturally, Blaze joined the roster at Psychopathic Records and released a self titled EP at the Gathering Of The Juggalos 2000. The EP was an underground success, selling ten’s of thousands of copies its first week alone. The Juggalos and Juggalettes liked what they heard and, when Blaze became an official member of Dark Lotus and went on to kick some of his sickest work to date on the release of “Tales of the Lotus Pod” many were beginning to grow a custom to his foul mouth style and thug antics. But it wasn’t until October 31st, of 2001 when Blaze dropped his first full length release entitled “1 Less G n' Da Hood”! That Blaze’s entire range of music & character were explored. He spit gangsta fire over rock beats suck as "U Can't Hurt Me", "Grave Ain't No Place", & "Given ½ the Chance", while still remaining true to his roots with songs like "Hoodratz", and "Thug 4 Life". Now is the time for Blaze to explore his character even more. With the release of his forthcoming second album "Colton Grundy the Undying", all will be explained, the truth of Blaze Ya Dead Homie, the past, present, and future.
