Bet Tru Davies wishes she could rewind this day

It was only a few weeks ago that I reported one of my favorite shows on television "Tru Calling" had returned for it's last hurrah with the final six episodes. However, just yesterday,FOX (being the real braintrusts that they are) decided to can the show yet again before it's final episode, which was a christmas themed episode. One has to wonder what exactly the execs at FOX are on lately, I mean I wondered that myself when I first got wind of a Paris Hilton/Nicole Ritchie in the works. Speaking of that, did you know that they decided to replace "Tru Calling" with "The Simple Life" next week? We only had 1 more episode to go, and FOX decides to axe the show. Theories about this from my point of view range from adding the last episode to the upcoming DVD releases to boost sales, or saving it for this December to boost ratings around the holiday season. Knowing FOX, it's the first theory. However I do have to say that this is something I didn't expect. I thought for sure FOX would've let all of the last eps play out. I even thought maybe there might be a chance of picking the show up for another season. Now though, those hopes have basically went up in smoke. Hopefully we will sooner rather than later, get to see the shows final ep on television instead of having to shell out the cash for the DVD sets. It's a shame too since the shows last 5 eps have been very interesting with this mystery woman connected to Jack showing up,and Jack finally showing some human compassion in the episode where he met the girl who ha lukemia. Nice going FOX, you have successfully solidified your position at the top of the *We don't have a clue in hell as to what were doing* mountain. Maybe you can round up another season of "Temptation Island". You know how we all just loved that show *rolls eyes*.Well, all of us smart decent people anyways.
