The season is over.  I'd liek to thank all of you for playing this year.  Also, let me know if you do not plan on playing again next year so I can get a replacement.

DWFFL CHAMPIONSHIP

Obligatory Nude Scene vs. Silent But Deadly
It was a battle between two power houses in the DWFFL.  Jason comes in with the best record in the league, Derrick comes in riding a 5 game win streak.  I was looking good after saturday for Derrick who had 22 from Philly D, which is always good.  Things got better after Amani Toomer went OFF for 42 points.  Wha..?  Come agian?  42 points from Amani Toomer??  Yeah, I am sure Jason was shitting bricks.  When the afternoon games were done, Derrick had 121 points.  Ohh Dear.... Jason still had hope though.. well that was until Griese wen't out after scoring -2 points.  Ouch.. the championship is never a really good time to ley an egg.  121-61, Derrick and Obligatory Nude Scene are the DWFFL Champions.  Jason and Silent But Deadly finish a tough 2nd.

3RD PLACE GAME

Polymorphic Pacifists vs. The Horny Priests
Scott is suffering from the biggest collapse ever, and it wasn't to end until Jason dismantled the heighest scoring team this year.  Scott cannot fight through the injuries, in a game that wasn't even close.  Jason destroyed Scott 86-43.  Scott completes one of the most difficult collapses in the history of fantasy football, while Jason makes it 2-0 for the east in the games that matter.

CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP (The Battle For The Dew!)

Well.. does it really matter.  Todd wins the Dew.. gets to .500.. and makes the east go 3-0 in the games that matter.  Strange.  The west owned the east in the regular season..

There were 3 upsets, in 4 games this week!

Obligatory Nude Scene (10-5) vs. The Horny Priests (8-6)
Derrick has finally gotten his revenge in this matchup of rivals.  Derrick was 0-2 coming into the game vs. Jason this year, but a gritty effort by a banged up team got the job done.  Jason got a stellar effort from Alexander who has had Derrick's nuber all season long, but his 27 wasn't enough for the top seed to move on.  Oblighatory Nude Scene, 2002 Eastern Conference Champions!  The final score was 73-61.

Polymorphic Pacifists (11-3) vs. Silent But Deadly (12-3)
It was a bad time for Scott's team to actually become pacifists.  In this matchup of juggernaughts, Jason got the best of Scott who was injury depleated.  Even worse, Scott may have lost the leagues best player for the final week of the season due to yet another injury.  Jason cruised to victory in this one, upsetting the leagues best team 113-70.  Silent But Deadly is the 2002 Western Conference Champion.  They will face Obligatory Nude Scene in the league chamionship next week.

The Flying Monkees (6-8) vs. The Showstoppa's (6-9)
Neil had lead the all time series 2-0 over underdog Heather, who inspired by the Dew, cruised to her first win over Neil by a score of 77-41.  Neil's season is over as the will get 7th place and the 6th pick.  Heather moves on to play for the Dew.

The Mossters (7-8) vs. Spankingly Delicious (4-10)
Ben's just plain stinks.  Todd couldn't loose to him again could he?  Nahh.. was it ever in doubt?  Todd will fight next week, not only for the Dew, but for a .500 record.  He will face The Flying Monkees next week.  Ben is done.  Spankingly Delicious finishes 8th, and will get the 5th pick in the draft.

Call it luck, for Derrick who ran into a team that just happened to play worse than his team did in an ugly effort.  Jason looks strong coming into the chamionship.  Jason won the only meeting during the regular season.

3RD PLACE GAME
Polymorphic Pacifists vs. The Horny Priests
An epic battle between arch rivals.  Scott still has the best team in the league, that is injured.  Scott won the only meeting between the two teams, but Jason is healthy.

CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP
The Mossters vs. The Flying Monkees
The Battle for the Dew.  Heather vs. Todd.  Thats about it.

There weren't any upsets in the playoffs this week.  That being said, in a Yahoo league, I was the number 1 seed and 10-3, and I played the 4 seed 6-7 in the playoffs.  I lost.  Stupid playoffs.

The games:

In the much anticipated battle for the Lottery Pick in next summers rookie draft.

I Try When I Want To (West 5, 4-9) vs. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force (East 5, 3-10)
It was a battle for the ages, as both teams had inconsistent games from their players.  First it looked like Brian would destroy as Fred Taylor got 23 points, and Brad Johnson got 24.  But Neil caught up as Duce McCallister went off for 33.  But in the end, Brian was victorious 86-80.  It was the final game of the year for both teams.  Neil finishes (3-11) and 10th out of 10, and will receive the 5th pick in next years rookie draft.  Brian finishes (5-9) and 9th out of 10, and is in the lottery for the number one pick.

In the wild card games.

The Showstoppa's (West 3, 6-7) vs. Silent But Deadly (West 2, 10-3)
Both teams scored below average in this game.  The problem for Neil, they both scored the same amount below their averages.  Jason scored more points on average.  Jason won 75-57.  The Showstoppa's slip to (6-8) and will play The Flying Monkees in the consolation semifinals.  Silent But Deadly improves to (11-3) and will face their rivals, Polymorphic Pacifists in the semifinals of the league championships.  Jason fights for $100 and is assured $25, while Neil fights for the Bottle of Dew!

The Mossters (East 3, 6-7) vs. Obligatory Nude Scene (East 2, 8-5)
Todd got a very inconsistent effort from all starters, except for their super D.  The Panthers went off for 23 points.  The game, however, wasn't even close as Derrick continued his scoring success as Nude Scene rattled off 119 points, lead by Ricky Williams who had 37, and Jeff Garcia who had 35.  The final was 119-75.  Nude Scene improves to (9-5) and will face The Horny Priests, who Derrick is 0-2 lifetime against.  They will battle in the semis of the league chamionship.  The Mossters slip to (6-7) and will have live with the knowledge that they were 0-3 vs. Nude Scene this year.  The Mossters will face Spankingly Delicious in the fight for the Dew.
