Sunrise
By
Gabe Sauers
as the sun rises or sets the dinosaur stalks the earth again the bird
tries its best to fly but is caught in the rays sent to a place where
nothing dies the titanic sails once
more as the sun rises or sets pearl harbor holds planes hiroshima
remains the man climbs the steel wall and turns it around back to home
is where it is bound the lungs
fill again and you forget when as the sun rises or sets all beliefs are
one and the hatred undone and the painter just paints they get on the
plane and there they remain as
the man doubles over with pain he stands up and becomes free the freeze
never came and he turns off the game and breathes
