Birmingham Brookvale Sailing Club was formed in the 1950's by a group of Birmingham Athletic Institute instructors who built a number of boats and wished to sail them.
The club moved to Brookvale Park in the 1970's and was known as BAISC until 1990 when the BAI was wound up by the city council. The club has always been committed to training.
The club has a comfortably furnished clubhouse in Brookvale Park. It is equipped with all facilities for a good days sailing, including chandling rooms, dry and wet rooms and a training room.
The club has a comprehensive range of boats numbering in excess of 15 at present. Life jackets are also available for use by club members. Brookvale is a small but very friendly club which holds many social events throughout the year, allowing members to socialise in a non sailing environment.
Both committee and members are always on hand to help with any difficulties you may encounter. You will find them all very approachable.
Our members are our top priority and we endeavour to ensure that they are happy at all times.
All members receive a newsletter, three times a year, plus a special Christmas edition which contains details of the AGM in January.
