What Is Anger?
What do you think about when you think about anger? Is anger the emotion you feel when you study really hard for a test and fail it? Or is anger the emotion you feel when the water faucet is dripping in the middle of the night? You might be surprised, but it is both. Anger can differentiate from a slight irritation to intense fury and rage. When the water faucet is dripping in the middle of the night, do you just put a pillow over your head and go to sleep or do you take a hammer and beat the faucet so hard that the problem just gets worse? When you study so hard for a test and fail it, do you mope around and hit your pillow, or do you yell at someone for no apparant reason? These are very important aspects to think about when trying to understand what anger is.
