A Good Read- Rebel Dante's Sentienl Recs

The newest slash recs are at the bottom of the page.

Like I said on my homepage, a lot of the older recs may have vague descriptions, and I may ramble on a bit because I am describing them from memory. These recs usually don't have dates.

If you can't find one of these stories, e-mail me. Who knows. I might have a copy stashed away somewhere.

The more asterisks, the higher my personal rating of the story is. *****+ is my TOP FAVORITE. What is YOUR rating?

BE SURE TO LEAVE THESE WONDERFUL AUTHORS FEEDBACK!

R:= My personal review which may contain SPOILERS.

(TS) = The Sentinel
(TS) True Minds by Lanning Cook (the reason that I made this list): Someone from Jim's pasy comes to him for help. R: think that this is my favorite TS story, or, at least, it's a draw between NR by Saul. It was intense. I literally had to look away and I was screaming at the screen "NOOOO! BLAIR! X0" And it was hilarious; Simon's humor at the precinct had my sides splitting, and nearly had me wetting myself. THEME: Somebody's Somebody by X-Tina A. *****+
Sequel #1: True Minds 2: Little Company: (December 11, 2007)
R: This story read like the TV show. I mean, I could just visualize EVERYTHING. I think that's why I teared up around the end. I'm still a little weepy writing this. *****+
Sequel #2: True Minds 3: Many Waters: (December 11, 2007) "Cold and wet is my world," muttered Blair, trying to ignore the foul-smelling water in his shoes. "Again. This seriously sucks, man." He strove to maintain his footing on the narrow ledge beside the slowly moving water. --"You wanted to come," Jim reminded him - somewhat uncharitably, Blair thought, as he shone the light of his flashlight on a rat large enough to put a saddle on. HI-LARIOUS!!! XD *****

(TS) Nightmare Realized by Saul (email): It's a military sort of epic tale of Jim and Blair getting kidnapped by Uncle Sam like I've never seen before. It's really long, and at times I wished that it would end, but when I was actually near the end, I felt so sad that I didn't have more to read. It draws you in, and has that balance of hurt and comfort that didn't make Blair seem, for lack of a better word, like a pussy. You really begin to feel for them. Oh, and there's a twist that seemed so far out, that it fit right in, if that makes sense. One of my FAVS! *****+

(TS) Covert Response Unit by Elaine: Blair's services are 'required' when a secret agent begins to have trouble with his senses. There are a lot of well-done repressed emotions. There's mentions of "Alpha Jim", but it doesn't center on that, and I'm okay with that. Usually, I'm fanatical about "Alpha" ANYTHING, but I really liked this. It's subtle. Blair and Jim's sexual histories/presents were a cool touch. THEME: The Workout by Utada Hikaru ****½

(TS) Pinecrest by Rentgirl 2: (from what I recall) Blair needs to get away from everything in his life; to start anew. If that includes Jim, then so be it. I really like this story on SOO many levels; there's lust, and, stupidity, jealousy, misunderstandings and so much more that make me drooooool. ****½
Sequel: Pinecrest 2: Heart's Desire
Interlude: Forever and Always

(TS) Red Treasure by Grey I really like this story. Someone's out to kill Blair, but no one knows who, or how to stop them. ** THEME SONG (possible): "Aroma" by Mika Nakashima *****+

(TS) Lifeline by Legion: Gah! I love this so much! XD. I don"t think that I"ve ever liked anything with Blair as a top like this before. Ohhhhhhh....and the EMOTION! I swear that my heart was pounding so much through this. It ached, too. Simon was a real doll in here. ****½

(TS) In Vino Veritas By K9: I didn't think that I was going to like this story because it seemed so bare and straight to the point in the beginning, but it wasn't what I expected it all. It was really endearing and HAWT!!! There HAS to be more. XD ***

(TS) Behind Bars by Mia Athlas: 0_0" This. Is. By. FAR. THEEEE. Best. Sentinel. Prison. Fic. I. Have. Ever. Read. I was biting my fingernails, hoping that they wouldn't get caught. At times, I just wanted to stop reading because the suspense was just THAT powerful. I COULDN'T STAND IT, I TELLS YA!!! XD Oh, and, M.A. You rock, good lady. You ROCK!!!! ****½

(TS) Shadows of the Past by LitGal: I freakin' LOVE this. So far, it is the BEST Sentinel/government-centric story that I have ever read. I was so far into this story that I was up to my knees in angst. Seriously. And that image of the young man who was an enemy agent trying to hold his insides in, but ultimately not succeeding really got to me. I didn't want this story to end. *****+

(TS) Passing Zone Blues by Polly Bywater: This is the only Non-con/Stockholm Syndrome situation that I will ever say that Ive liked. I also liked the perpetrator. The ending was very cryptic (Or, maybe Im just retarded -_-"), and I really want to know what's going on between the two men at the end. Love Blair! ****

(TS) Coming Home by Calista Echo: Brainwashed!Blair/Eric is...wow. I don't think that I've ever read a story like this before, in any fandom. The attention to detail was astounding. ***½
Prequel: Stealing Home

(TS/DUE SOUTH) Revelations by Carlito aka Carlito: This is effin' AWSOME. I was waiting for the one TS/DS crossover that I would REALLY like, and I REALLY LURVE this one. They all are so great together. I think that everyone should develop mini-crushes on one person from the other couple. I mean, in the "if-you-weren't-with-Jim/Fraser-I'd-be-all-over-you" Kinda way. ***

(TS) Redemption by DawnC: I think that this is the only good-outcome-from-a-no-good-ending-in-sight-situation/post TSbyBS that I've ever read, but I can honestly say that I LOVE it. It totally didn't burst my bubble like some other stories have done. Nyaaaaaah! I just can't put it into words how much I LOVE this story. I hope that this story can be continued in some way. Have I told you I LOOOOOVE this story? *****

(TS) Moonhunt by Dolimir: Blair is a young Shaman who is caught in the wrong place at the right time. ALPHA JIM!!! XD *****+

(TS) Arise by Y. S. McCool: Just thinking about "Jason" Rafe talking about that guy who attacked Darren and Joel's response.... I nearly SHAT myself. This story is all around feel-good. ***

(TS) The Alpha Tactics Series by Creed Cascade I love this story SOO much. I love anything to do with you AND alpha-ness, so it's double the fun. ***
Sequel: Alpha Pride *WIP*

(TS) Past Tense (Part One, Part Two) by Daydreamer: Someone from Jim's past needs his help.
R: I REALLY love this story. I was literally biting my nails, scared about what was going to happen next. ****

(TS) The BS Factor by Jen Riddler: There is something strange going on. When Jim figures out what it is, he realizes how alone he really is.
R: I had tears in my eyes as I was reading this. I had my hand over my gaping mouth, a look of total belief on my face. *****+

(TS) By the Gods, A Lone Wolf Cries (I, II, III) by DawnC: Ooookay! I don't remember exactly what this istory is about. alls I know it that this story was really interesting. I think I damn near had a heart implosion when Jim said those hurtful words to Blair. Mmm, I love the drama!!!! ***½

(TS) Power Trip by Grey: Man, I really like this story. I like how subtly this story's ALPHA JIM is all possessive/attracted to Blair. They just have a really great relationship in here. And Blair being a knockout in here didn't hurt, either. I was seriously imagining Blair's ass. ***½

(TS) Grindstone 2, 3, and 4 by Grey: Jim is lust over Blair, but refuses to do anything about it.
R: For the love of GOD! Will no one think of the pillows?! XD I'd say that Blair's pillow is feeling a little bit used, and not just in the usual manner. If not that, then a little soiled. *Snort* Any who, I loved Simon in here. I was wondering why Simon acted like Jim had stepped on his tail when he woke Jim up. Damn, I probably would have been laughing my ass off if I were Simon, and burying my head in the floor if I were Jim. I mean, damn, that whole situation was just TOO embarrassing. ****

(TS) The Shadowlands by Annie and Lyn: I really love this. There was just so much realistic conflict that happened between Jim and Blair that I felt I really -I don't know- connected with them, Blair especially. ****

(TS) Philip K. Dick is Alive and Well, Alas by MrsHamill: Damn....I feel like this story damaged my soul. I don't think that I've read a story this sad and FINIT. I think that you'll find it a bit ironic what I was listening to while I was reading this, which is also what I ultimately designated as the theme. THEME:"I Just Can't Stop Loving You" by Michael Jackson *****+

(TS) Mia by Francesca: I REALLY like this story. I don't think that I've ever read a story where Blair has been mad enough to hit Jim. IT WAS AWSOME!!! XD This story totally made my day. ****

(TS) Touched by Jvantheterrible: I really love this story. There was drama, the classic misunderstanding, and the oh-so sweet reconciliation. I think that the love scene on this story was one of the top 10 best love scenes in any fandom that I have ever read. I shit you not. This is definitely going on my favorites list. I hope that you continue on with this story. I think that there are so many things that need to be played out. *****

(TS) Familiar Stranger by Annabelle Leigh: Duuuuude. I was ducking and covering my eyes throughout this story. I just couldn't believe that some of those things were happening. It was like something straight out of Law & Order: SVU but BETTER! *****

(TS) Quack by Legion I think that this story was definitely an unexpected delight. It was adorable, and it had plenty of "oh,-no-he-dih-ih!" moments. Simon (in particular) and the gang were a riot. ***1/2

(TS) Forgotten Letters by Angelise I love stories like this because they are so sentimental. They really make me smile at the end and go "Awwwww! XD" ***

(TS) Dork by Francesca and Miriam: Blair unleashes the dork within!
R: Reading this story almost made me say that I'm glad to be a dork. NOT. Even as dorky as Blair might claim to be, he's still pretty damn cool. He's just so resolute in his dork-osity. He owns his shit, and that's just so hot. The chemistry chick knew her beans. I'm the kind of dork that has people stop paying attention to her, literally turn their backs on me, in mid-sentence because I bore them so much. Anyway, I love it when Blair gets lifted onto anything. That just gets my blood pumping. ***

(TS) End Epiphany in a Stairwell by Lady Ra I just can't tell you how I go gaga over homophobe conversion. That's just a major testament to the power of Blair's sexiness. ***

(TS) First Move by Grey: I love Jim being jealous of another guy whether it's because of his sentinel side, or just Jim being possessive ol' Jim. ***

(TS) Inferences and Innuendo series by Lenore: Someone gets under Jim's skin. Now Jim doesn't know what he's capable of.
Club Doom
Threatened
Secrets and Lies
Past Bad Acts
Coda
R: (#5: CONCLUSION) The ending was nothing I expected, and everything I hoped it would be. *****

(TS) Exposing the Nape by Bone: Man! I've had long hair all of my life, and I'll be the first to admit that it's become sort of a crutch for me... But DAMN! That makes me wanna go bald!!!! (0)_(0)" ***

(TS) Competition by Grey: Blair must decide if he will choose Jim, or someone from his past that has returned.
R: Maaaan! You have no idea how much I love African American characters in slash. *****

(TS) This Man's Army by K9: "Sir! Blair Sandburg, sir!" 15-year-old Blair Sandburg wants to know what it's like to be in the army. Jim clues him in.
R: I love the fact that Blair is so young and when he and Jim "go there" he seems as innocent as anyone could ever be. This story seems like it could be an epic. I hope that you decide to continue on with it. *****

(TS) The Night Sandburg Graduated From The Academy by Francesca: I love this story SOOO much! The only thing missing is an outsider's POV. I.e. SIMON! ***½

(TS) The Nature Series by Francesca:
Nature Series 1
Nature Series 2
Nature Series 3
R: I can't tell you what exactly this story is about, but I know how much I love this story. Hell, you might enjoy it too. For some reason, I saved this story on my computer a long time ago, but I would never read it. Finally, I got down to reading the darn thing. I swear, I could kick myself. This is so great! I'm hooked to it. There's just so much to like about this story. *****+

(TS) Bought *WIP* by Neichan: Sentinels rule; Guides aren't even considered human. They're breed like livestock.
R: I swear, I had to look away and fan myself multiple times! That love scene with Rafe/Blair/Jim (17) was just too muuuuuch! I can't handle it! *EXPLODES* Seriously, though, that scene made me have hot flashes. I don't think that has ever happened with a sex scene and me. Oh my GAH! ! MPREG *****+

(TS) A Gathering of Sentinels by Lady Ra: It's basically like the title says. Jim and Blair have Sentinels and Guides coming out the yin yang. ****½

(TS) Mentor, Book Three by Grey: I have to admit that I didn't really enjoy this story. It was very disturbing to me for some reason. I even skipped the second book. I think that it might have been because Blair was just so stubborn about being vulnerable, if that makes sense. Anyway, I put the 3rd book on my favorites list because of two simple lines. #1- "Ever heard of freedom of the press?" #2 "Ever heard of getting bitch slapped?" I swear, it's 5:14 in the morning right now (5/13/07) and I still laughed my head off. I haven't had a laugh like that in a while. ****'½
Book One
Book Two

(WITHOUT A TRACE/TS/NCIS) Missing by Neichan: (May 19, 2007) Someone is kidnapping Guides! Jim/Blair/Simon/Rafe, DiNozzo/Gibbs, and more. *****+ (mostly because of the sex scene:) )

(TS) Recovery Epic by Lit Gal: I really like this story. I haven't been this excited about a story in a long time, and I just couldn't wait for your Jim and Blair to get together. They were so cute! *****+

(TS) The Good Friend by Jack Rueben Darcy: (June 16, 2007) I really love how Jim and Blair fought in this story. I was something I could see myself doing. ****

(TS/THE X-FILES) Soul Mates (Part 1, Part 2) by Jo B: (June 29, 2007) I really liked this story. Doggett and Mulder's relationship was something that I haven't quite seen before. It was refreshing. I'm glad that everything turned out so well. Jim/Blair, Mulder/Dogget ****

(TS) B.J. Sandburg by Gillian: (November 29, 2007) Blair knew for a long time that the men in his family were different.... R: I have to say that I was more than a little weary before reading this story. It's been years since I've read anything with a female main character. I had to picture Blair in my mind as a hermaphrodite, just to get through the first part. B.J. Sandburg grew on me though, and I have to say that I ended up being okay with Blair turning into a woman, and B.J. and Jim starting a heterosexual relationship. The overall story was very well written, too. GENDER-SWITCH PREG *****+

(TS) Those Who Can by Sihaya Black: (December 9, 2007) It's just a fantastic story where Jim has to deal with some people from him past that now affect his future. A secret scientific organization wants to put him out to stud! I would never have suspected that. I just thought that they would want Jim to be their Sentinel. Neil and Cynthia were completely forgivable at the end. Thanks for sharing! *****+

(TS) Deus es Machina by afropuff: (December 16, 2007) After an old friend calls him out of the blue, Blair tells him that he used to be in a band and his friends want to get back together again to play. Jim couldn't believe that Blair could ever be in a band, that is until Blair told him what band he was in. Blair introduces Jim to his old friends, and his old band puts on a show for old and new fans. Seeing Blair perform makes Jim realize just how much he desires the younger man and they kiss after Blair plays Jim a song in a private session.
R: It's not a FANTASTIC story, but the sex scene was hot, even though there was not much description in it. Simply because Blair said "Fuck", the first word of the section, as he was riding Jim was orgasmic. ***½

(TS) Beyond the End by Katrina Bowen: (BIMTL/ December 19, 2007) Jim meets Blair in the forests of Peru. As he's saving his life.
R: I've read this story WAY before I started my fic rec, but I'm glad that I stumbled onto it again. This story involves Blair on an expedition in South America. He and his companion are captured by warriors from a village, one of whom happens to be a blue-eyed sentinel. In order to stay alive, Jim gives Blair the option of sleeping with him and becoming essentially his property. While Blair tries to make a place for himself in the village, his companion isn't so compliant and all hell breaks loose. ****

(TS) Ocean, Moon by Lemon Drop: (December 19, 2007) I have to mention that there are tons of grammatical errors in this story (A majority is just missing quotation marks), but beyond that it is a beautifully written portrait of Blair's life around TSbyBS. Blair isn't coping well with the lead up to and the fallout from the press conference. I had to find myself from oozing right out of my seat. Every word just seemed to be charged with emotion. ****

(TS) Paper Cranes by Deirdre: Jim is finding himself noticing a lot of "inappropriate" things about Blair; Blair is folding a thousand paper cranes to get his heart's desire. Nicely written. ****

(TS) Lord Ellison by Bast: Blair is a slave who is brought to The Panther King, Lord Jim. Lord Jim has been searching for a mate, and he finds it in the seventeen year old slave. R: The story is intense with unrequited love between more than just two people. Bestiality, ritual piercing, and MPREG. *** (FAV)

(TS) Distant Journey, Unknown Lands by Martha and Lemon Drop: Blair and Jim deal with the fallout of Jim's exposure as a Sentinel. Dealing with nasty reporters, and losing friends, Jim and Blair try to piece themselves back together. A memorable quote: "Jesus," Jim muttered, but happily, or as happily he could under the circumstances. They were really going to do this. They were really going to leave. He caught sight of Blair's round backside as he bent over digging through a pile of laundry. "Jesus," he said again, and picked up the phone. ****

(TS) The Aegis Group by Veronica: (December 17, 2007) Blair captured by some not-so-nice people in South America, after Maya gives book to hold for Eli Stoddard. Jim Ellison, an agent of the Aegis group is eager to his hands on that book. Unfortunately, so is Alex. *****

(TS) Carolyn Says by Lemon Drop: (BEFORE I MADE THE LIST/Dec. 22, 2007) Carolyn muses over Blair, Jim, and then Jim & Blair. R: Yet another stunning piece of art by LD! The emotions that this author can evoke are something to behold. ****½

(TS) In Good Company by Lemon Drop: (December 22, 2007) Blair is having dreams that leave him waking up in different places of the loft. He and Jim try to figure out what they are about. Post TSbyBS.
R: S P O I L E R ! ! ! ! ! The dreams scared the crap out of me. I had to turn on some lights. ****½

(TS) Pretty Boy by Francesca and Emily: (December 23, 2007) Jim reveals his true self to Blair after years of 'friendship'.
R: This take on Jim and Blair's relationship was very interesting, but what was more interesting was the 'real' Jim. I found myself sort of amazed by him and his old friends. Though it was hard to believe that Jim, or anyone else for that matter would keep up a persona just for an attractive person, or even a friend when they didn't have to. ***½

(TS) Fruit of the Vine by Aristide: (December 26, 2007) Blair comes home to the loft to find that Jim has zoned while having sex with a woman. When Jim realizes that he can't enjoy anything pleasurable, Blair offers him a substitute.
R: I thoroughly enjoyed this story, because it was so intensely erotic in a way that I haven't seen in a long time- even when they weren't having sex!!! It was also thought-provoking. GREAT SEX SCENE!!! XD *****+

(TS) Harbor of My Heart by Romslinger: (December 29, 2007) Blair is a detective, and Jim is a soldier on the run from an army hospital that was conducting tests on his Sentinel abilities, who cares for orphaned twin girls. When danger finds Jim again, he has to face it and protect himself for the sake of those he loves. This story was very heart-warming. The only thing that 'bothered' me was that Blair topped right off the bat. I could have handled it further down the line, but it was very sudden.... ****

(TS) Pain of Love (Part 1, Part 2) by Alyjude: (BIMTL) Blair and Jim are drifting apart after what happened with Alex/ When Jim starts dating a woman who looks like Alex, Blair decides to get away for one night and heads right into some serious trouble. Mentions of rape, and attempted rape. ****½

(TS) Ministers of Grace by Lanning Cook: (January 2, 2008) Jim has been acting odd lately. Blair finds out that Jim's mood has something to do with his parents.
R: I thought that this story was good, but it lacked a little bit of detail, or rather, it was like a very detailed outline of a story. ***½

(TS) A Man of Integrity by Lemon Drop: (January 3, 2008) Blair is now a detective, and Simon sends him on an undercover mission inside the police department. Even though he is supposed to dig up dirt about an officer that he's never met, he ends up finding out things about Jim in the process. I enjoyed this story. It is only the second story that I've ever read where I had no problem with Blair being a top. Jon was a very interesting character. I think that this story could become an epic. ***½

(TS) Choices (Part 1, Part 2) by Dolimir: (January 5 , 2008) Blair is a suicide hotline counselor, and one day he answers a call that changes his life as he knew it. It's not a dreary as it sounds. Sure, there's some serious matter in there, but this fic is action-packed, and Jim and Blair have a sort of chemistry that had me smiling every time they interacted with each other. Oh, and Larry the Barbary ape makes an appearance, too! ****½

(TS) One More Chance by Morgana: (January 13, 2008 PE) After that whole debacle with Alex, the fountain, and his impromptu trip to Sierra Verde, Blair contracts bacterial pneumonia. Jim feels guilty and is determined to take care of him.
R: I know that there is a sequel, but it's terrible, so I don't rec that you read it. This story can stand on it's own.****

(TS) Kaleidoscope by PJ: (January 23, 2008) Terrible things keep happening to the people Jim loves.
R: This story is very well written, and I even got choked up. *****

(TS) Brokenhearted by Veronica: (February 1, 2008) Blair can't quite deal with the prospect of being just 'normal' to Jim. This story should have been named differently. Preferably something with 'normal/normalcy' in the title. One thing that absolutely pissed me off about this story was that it was so good, BUT IT HAD NO ENDING!!!! Slapping 'Finis' at the end does nothing for how pissed I am right now. Damn you Veronica. **** [Theme: Cover of Nakashima Mika-san's "WILL" by Boyz II Men]

(TS) A Simple Twist of Fate by Jhourdhaun and BlairsBoff: (April 17, 2008) This story is centered around Simon who is relentlessly pursued by the new District Attorney. Not everyone approves of their relationship, including Simon's son, Daryl. I usually don't like threesomes, but the one in here was okay. A little convenient.....MPREG! S/OMC, S/J/B. ***½

(TS) Quarry by Cara Chapel: (April 20, 2008) Blair gets entangled in Lee Brackett's web again, and of course that means that Jim is along for the ride. This story is a little long-winded, but the sex scenes are some of the best that I've seen. J/B****

(TS) Something Evil This Way Comes by Dolimir: (April 22, 2008) Jim is searching for a murderer in New Orleans when he encounters a young man with powers that he didn't believe were possible. His beliefs are challenged by the young man. J/B *****

(TS) A Winter Fast Approaching by Martha Christine: (BIMTL) A devastating event occurs that separates Jim and Blair from the rest of the world, and each other. *****

(TS) Gone, Like a Bullet by Micah Loden: (July 12, 2008) In the aftermath of Alex, Blair questions the necessity of his place in Jim's life. Jim's answers decides a lot of things in Blair's mind. *****

(TS) Dog Years by Kikkimax: (August 15, 2008) After Blair's friend is murdered, Blair join's his band to find his killer. ***½

(TS) The Sentinel Conspiracy by Kikkimax: (August 16, 2008) Jim chooses the a guide with a bad attitude. ****½

(TS) Past Trials by Alyjude: (August 21, 2008) Blair goes to Boston to help his mother through a trying time. ****½

(TS) The Seed by Kikkimax: (August 22, 2008) Blair is targeted by a female killer. GEN ****

(TS) If I Said... by Kikkimax: (August 22, 2008) Blair and Jim spend some time with Rafe and Brown at a beach house. Jim does some drunken groping. It's the same ol' same ol', but it's CUUUUTE. ****½

(TS) Confiscated by Shedoc: (August 22, 2008) Blair is taken, and Jim has to learn some hard lessons. *****+

(TS)(SG) Tryst by Kikkimax: (September 03, 2008) Daniel gets off a plane during a layover in Cascade. (X-over with STARGATE: SG-1)*****+

(TS) The Edge of Beauty by Lily: (Dec. 24, 2008) Blair's luck with the PD comes to an end, and Jim notices something about his partner that everyone seemed to already know. ****

(TS) Sandburg in Paris by Alexis Gunn: (Dec. 26, 2008) Jim's father gives him two tickets to the City de Amour. ****½

(TS)(MISC.) Understand Me by Saraid: (Dec. 26, 2008) There is something wrong with Blair, and it's affecting his job at the university, his job at Major Crimes, and his relationship with Jim. (X-over with MILLENIUM) ****

(TS) Call Him A Dog by Lanning Cook: (Dec. 31, 2008) The whole gang as seen through the eyes of Jim's new partner. R: This was funny and just a delight to read. ****1/2

(TS) No Big Deal (Part I, Part II, and Part III) by Dasha: (Jan. 8, 2009) The entire Sentinel T.V. series from Jim’s P.O.V. The way it should be told. With actual slash! R: It was very comfortable reading. I think that’s what stood out the most. *****+

(TS) Without Fear (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) by Scala: (Jan. 12, 2009) Blair can’t deal with the things that have happened after the press conference, including revealing being in love with Jim to the man himself. Jim/Blair, OMCs/Blair, Jim/OMC *****

(TS) Twice Again by Ysone: (June, 10, 2009) In a world where sentinels and guides are recognized and celebrated, one sentinel's painful past leads him to avoid a bond at all costs, even as his emerging senses demand one, while one guide struggles to hide the dark secrets that caused him to be branded an outcast.
