Elements, compounds, and mixtures are all around us.  When you eat salt, you are crunching on sodium and chlorine.  Did you know that sugar is made of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen?  Did you know that calcium, carbon, and oxygen make up chalk?  Well, what elements are found in the products you use everyday?  You might be very surprised to discover what elements are inside your shampoo, your juice, your lotion, or even your diamond earrings. 

You have been hired by the Food and Drug Administration to analyze what is exactly inside of the food we eat, the lotion we put on our skin, the diamonds we wear on our necklaces, or any other product you have in your house.  So what's inside your lotion?
