TRUTH that Psalms teaches ACTION that Psalms invites
1. A path toward the knowledge of GOD's ways
We must know that GOD honors his name and we should seek for it to be exalted.
79:9
Understand that GOD saves and blesses his people because of His name, that is, for his honor, and not due to human works of righteousness.
2. Instructions for growing in piety
Piety makes GOD's concern for widows, orphans, strangers, the poor and needy its own, because they are the preferred of his heart, as well as the care and instruction of one's own children. The pious person also returns to GOD when he has problems instead of leaping into the arms of the flesh.
82:3,4
Understand that GOD places priority on ministering to the outcast, poor and needy.

78:4-8
Don't falter when instructing your children and preparing them to walk in the ways of the LORD.

73:21,22
Keep an aggrieved heart from turning into a spirit filled with bitterness.

73:16,17
When you are confused, spend time in the presence of the LORD to gain understanding and perspective.

3. Steps toward a dynamic devotion
GOD desires all of our hearts to be completely consecrated to Him. Dedication is needed to develop such devotion. It's necessary to persevere in the pursuit of GOD above all things.

Seek GOD continually so that you may have and undivided and fearful heart before the LORD.

Understand that vows are an acceptable biblical means to realize spiritual advances in difficult areas of your life.

4. Keys for a wise life
Growing in wisdom means learning to have discernment about the times in which we live, applying the principles that we find in the Word of GOD. It also means renouncing the pursuit of honors that can only come from GOD.

Know that all promotion and exaltation comes from the LORD.

Understand that when we reject GOD's ways we can lose the blessings and guidance of his Spirit, which will convert our lives into a desert.

5. Steps toward growing in humility
The humble, because he recognizes his need for continuous growth, never assumes an arrogant attitude.

Convert your heart into a pilgrim. Humble yourself and accept that "you will never arrive", rather, that you should never halt in your pursuit of spiritual knowledge and growth.
6. Key lesson in faith
Never underestimate the power of human testimony to persuade people to take determined steps on the road to faith.
77:10-20
Think on the wonders that GOD does among his people and give testimony of them to encourage believers and build up their faith.
7. A guide to obtaining victory
The negative influences that take shelter in our hearts can be much stronger than any external opposition.
81:13-16
Pray to be delivered from the disobedience and stubbornness that impede GOD's hand from offering you spiritual victory.
