TRUTH that Psalms teaches ACTION that Psalms invites
1. A step toward the knowledge of GOD
Knowing and believing that GOD is omniscient helps us to not hide ourselves from Him.
10:11-15
Understand that GOD sees and knows all things. Believe that nothing one does is hidden from the eyes of GOD.
2. Instructions for growing in piety
Living in piety is completely different from living as the world teaches us. It's opposed to our carnal and sinful nature. Therefore, since piety doesn't agree with sin, we need the supernatural help of the Holy Spirit. Living in piety requires a radical change in our way of speaking, conducting ourselves and thinking.
2:12
Honor the LORD in your conversation and conduct.

4:4
Refuse to respond in anger. Sleep on it and dedicate time to reflection.

10:4
Let GOD fill your thoughts and avoid weaknesses in this way.

15:4
Honor your obligations and your word though it may be costly to you.

19:14
Speak and thinkonly in a way that you know pleases GOD.

36:4
Understand that righteousness completely rejects incorrect conduct.

3. Steps toward holiness
Consecrated believers live in a way that's distinct from the people of the world, and don't allow the world's value system to affect their lives. If we give place to the world in our lives we'll suffer the consequences.
1:1
Don't conduct your life by the ways that the world proposes, don't participate in dubious activities and don't be sarcastic. Live differently as part of GOD's people.

7:14
Understand that letting evil develops in your heart will bring disillusion and unnecessary problems into your life.

4. Steps toward a dynamic devotion
Being near GOD constantly gives place to permanent changes in our lives. Insincere attempts in this sense lead to a divided devotion. Those who make their devotion to GOD a priority are those who know true devotion.
1:2
Practice regular meditation on the Bible. Delight yourself in the Scriptures and allow them to guide you.

5:3
Seek the LORD in the morning. Hope in Him so that he speaks to your heart and to your spirit.

5:7
Prioritize private and collective worship.

19:7-11
Give thanks to GOD every day for his revelation, his will and his promises to you in his Word.

27:4
Make the time you spend with GOD and his people be your delight and the most important thing in your life.

29:1,2
Testify regularly of GOD's goodness.

40:6-8
Choose to live a life of discipline and obedience as GOD's servant.

5. Key lessons in the faith
GOD's people should fully trust that the Word of GOD is true and that He will always act in accordance with it. Each situation that we face is an opportunity to trust in GOD instead of our own inclinations. Faith involves an element of risk, but always brings the richest benefits.
9:10
Choose to believe that the LORD will never abandon you if you choose to believe in Him.

12:6
Know that GOD's Word has been proven. And it is absolutely trustworthy.

23:1-6
Trust in the pastoral care of Jesus. He will sustain and protect you; furthermore, he will restore your life.

26:1
Achieve righteousness by believing in the LORD, not by following yourself.

37:5
consciously dedicate all your plans to the LOD. Don't presume that his help will come if you don't invite him to help you.

6. Steps toward confronting sin
Confronting sin adequately entails permitting the Word of GOD to examine our hearts. Covering sin up and attempting to hide its consequences gives way to feelings of anguish, and sometimes greater sins. Accept what GOD says about sinful conduct, remove yourself from it, and GOD's free forgiveness will do the rest.
25:7
Confess and abandon sin and rebellion. Understand that GOD will also forget.

32:1-5
Recognize and confess sin. Understand that GOD wants to forgive and restore you, but don't take divine forgiveness lightly.

7. How to refrain the tongue
Many sins have something to do with evil speaking. Discipline and correct decisions come as a fruit of healthy conversation. It's very easy for us to speak too much, with much harshness and liberty. Speaking less and more carefully will bring diminishment of sin as a result.
17:3
Speak only what is right. Force yourself to speak of the things of GOD.

18:6
Don't complain when you have difficulties or problems. Cry out to GOD. Trust that the LORD will hear you and respond.

34:12-14
Be careful with your words. Know that right conversation brings the promise of a long life with it.
