You have accepted your assignment from Star Agency. You and the members of your team must choose a celebrity from the TASK PAGE and confirm this with your supervisor (your teacher). After you have been officially assigned a star, please choose one of the following assignments for each person listed below:

Research your client and use all available media and print to promote the ability of your celebrity. Showcasing the experience and qualifications of your client is paramount. This may include determining how and where you promote your star. Create a multimedia press release combining your clients talents and experience. This will include the selection of travel destinations for your client.

Advertising Agent

Analyze current image portfolio and determine advertising strengths. Creating "catchy" slogans is your specialty. A new image is your main goal. Compose a new marketing slogan and commercial image for your client. This will include the selection of travel destinations for your client.

Team Member 3-

Travel and General Expense Agent

(Specific Assignment Link)

Decide where your client needs to travel, what they will where and how you are going to spend the money. You will have to decide how the $75,000 is spent by your team. This may include lodging, wardrobe and transportation costs. Create a graph (bar and pie) showing the costs of each expense category. This will include the selection of travel destinations for your client.

Coordinate the design efforts of your team. This will include a multimedia press release, marketing design, slogan, commercial image and the cost associated with the $75,000 expenditure.

Record all information and present it on a multimedia slideshow using Claris Slideshow, Powerpoint or HyperStudio. You may also choose to create a website as an alternative to a slideshow. You must include all design efforts that are represented in each design team. The best presentation will be chosen to represent their celebrity and receive a 20% commission on the first successful venture as outlined in your agreement with Star Agency.

Team Member 1-Press Agent Assignment (return to top of page)
• Go to Resource Page and read the bio of your client. Read the biography. Go to the resources page and view the official website for your star. This will provide you with the necessary information to provide you with the background of your superstar. (10 min.)

•Use the biography form to electronically record the necessary information about your celebrity that you have observed. Here is a list of the questions below:

1. List your the name of your client (superstar alias):
2. List the original name of your client (birth name):
3. What is the birthday of your client?
4. How old is your client?
5. What is the hometown of your client?
6. List at least 10 achievements of your client (greatest achievement first):
7. What are the talents of your client?
8. What other areas does your client have the ability to excel in (other talents, etc.)?
9. What marketing appeal does your star have?
10. What are your goals for your clients success?
11. Other information that may be helpful to you as an agent:

•Plan an itinerary of places that your client can visit for promotional purposes. These may include, but are not limited to, concert locations, social events, television appearances and award ceremonies. You may begin booking destinations by clicking here. Remember, there are ten (20) other people who need to travel with your client at all times. These people include body guards, makeup and hair stylists and an entourage of many others. Please record all information on this form (clarisworks format, ASCII format) and report it to the Travel and General Expense Agent on your team. You will combine your findings with the other members of your team so arrive at a final travel schedule for your client.

•Using the information from your resources, you must create a resume of your client that outlines the past experience, qualifications, skills, interests and other information. This resume must include images and other media that represents your client. An individual brouchure would be ideal to distribute to potential employers and investors. Create this in a Drawing Document so it can be imported into a slideshow presentation. This will be a 5 page document.

•You must determine what your client should target as employment opportunities. Work in concert with the members of your team. Your research will be presented in a multi-media presentation. Provide your expense sheet to the Travel and General Expense Agent on your team.

•You must develop a multi-media presentation for commercial purposes.

•A new slogan/logo is needed for your client. This is also your responsiblity as a member of your team.

•Your presentation will include a storyboard of 5 scenes that portray the endorsement of products and other marketable media. You can create this story board in a Drawing Program so it can be imported to a slideshow at a later date. Landscape your presentation in the Page Layout view. Your presentation should have a 5 page format.

Show all expenses and related costs including commissions in the form a Bar Graph and Pie Chart to show how the $75,000 will be used. Your presentation must be in a Drawing Document that will equal 5 pages in length.

•This is your opportunity as a team to flourish. You must all work together and create a 15 page multi-media slideshow that will exhibit your professional creativity and resourcefullness as members of the Star Agency. All elements of this presentation must be connected in an appealing and effective manner. First impressions are a key component. You will only get one chance to showcase your efforts.

•You must be prepared to give an oral report to the other members of your company including your boss. Good luck with your presentation. Your future at the company depends on it!
