Material things,
What our money will buy.
Many pleasures,
Money can supply.
If you never had money,
Would you miss it.
Could you survive,
On beauty and wit.
Would you trade all your treasures,
For bits of silver and gold.
Or are your treasures precious,
Never to be sold.
Does your smile brighten,
When a friend says hello.
Will uneasiness arise,
'Cause of the money to you they owe.
Can you heart be bought,
Even just for a few hours.
Or does love rule within,
And love has its own powers.
Is it the love of money,
That keep you warm on a cold night.
Or the love of that special someone,
That makes the world sunny and bright.
