Then on that day
(the day the ark of God came back into Jerusalem from Gibeah)
David delivered first this psalm
To thank the Lord
Into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

Give thanks unto the Lord,
Call upon His name,
Make known his deeds among the people.

Sing unto Him,
Sing psalms unto Him,
Talk ye of ALL His wondrous works.

Glory ye in His holy name:

Let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord and His strength,
Seek His face CONTINUALLY.

Remember His marvellous works
That He hath done,
His wonders,
And the judgments of his mouth;

O ye seed of Israel His servant,
Ye children of Jacob,
His chosen ones.

He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in ALL the earth.

Be ye mindful ALWAYS of his covenant;
The Word which He commanded
To a thousand generations;
Even of THE covenant which He made with Abraham,
And of his oath unto Isaac;
And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law,
And to Israel for an EVERLASTING COVENANT,Saying,

Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan,
The lot of your inheritance;
When ye were but few,
Even a few, and strangers in it.

And when they went from nation to nation,
And from one kingdom to another people;
He suffered NO MAN to do them wrong:

Yea, He reproved kings for their sakes, Saying,

Touch NOT Mine anointed,
And do My prophets no harm.

Sing unto the Lord, ALL the earth;
Shew forth from day to day His salvation.

Declare His glory among the heathen;
His marvellous works among all nations.

For GREAT IS the Lord,
And GREATLY TO BE PRAISED:

He also IS to be feared above ALL gods.

For ALL the gods of the people are idols:

But the Lord made the heavens.

Glory and honour ARE in His Presence;
Strength and Gladness ARE in His Place.

Give unto the Lord,
Ye kindreds of the people,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord
The glory DUE unto His Name:

Bring an offering,
And come before him:

Worship the Lord in beauty of holiness.

Fear before Him, ALL the earth:

The world also shall be stable,
That it be not moved.

Let the heavens be glad,
And let the earth rejoice:

And let men say among the nations, >br>
The Lord reigneth.

Let the sea roar,
And the fulness thereof:

Let the fields rejoice,
And all that is therein.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out
At the presence of the Lord,
Because he cometh to judge the earth.

O give thanks unto the Lord;
For He is good;
For His mercy endureth FOR EVER.
And say ye,

Save us, O God of our salvation,
And gather us together,
And deliver us from the heathen,
That we may give thanks to Thy holy name,
And glory in Thy praise.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel
FOR EVER And EVER 1

Chronicles 16:7-36

I Will bless the Lord at ALL times:

His praise shall CONTINUALLY be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:

The humble shall hear thereof,
And be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord,
And He heard me,
And delivered me from ALL my fears.
They looked unto him,
And were lightened:

And their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried,
And the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of ALL his troubles.

The angel of the Lord ENCAMPETH
Round about them that fear Him,
And DELIVERETH them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good:

Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

O fear the Lord,
Ye His saints:

For there is NO WANT
To them that fear Him.

The young lions do lack,
And suffer hunger:

But they that seek the Lord
Shall NOT WANT (for or lack) any good thing.>br>
Come, ye children,
Hearken unto me:

I will teach you
The fear of the Lord.

What man is he that desireth life,
And loveth many days,
That he may see good?

Keep thy tongue from evil,
And thy lips from speaking guile.

Depart from evil, and do good;
Seek peace, and pursue it.

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
And His ears ARE OPEN unto their cry.

The face of the Lord is AGAINST them that do evil,
To cut off (even)
The REMEMBERANCE of them from the earth.

The righteous cry,
And the Lord heareth,
AND DELIVERETH them
Out of ALL their troubles.

The Lord is nigh unto them
That are of a broken heart;
And saveth such as
Be of a contrite spirit.

MANY ARE the afflictions of the Righteous:

BUT the Lord delivereth him out of them ALL.
He keepeth all his bones:

Not ONE of them is broken.

Evil SHALL slay the wicked:

And they that HATE the Righteous SHALL BE DESOLATE!

The Lord redeemeth the soul of His servants:

And NONE OF THEM that trust in Him shall be desolate.

Psalms 34

O Give thanks unto the Lord;
Call upon His name:

Make known His deeds among the people.

Sing unto Him,
Sing psalms unto Him:

Talk ye of all His wondrous works.

Glory ye in His holy Name:

Let the heart of them rejoice
That seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord,
And His strength:

Seek His face EVERMORE.

Psalms 105:1-4

They that forsake the law
Praise the wicked:

But such as keep the law
Contend with them.

Evil men UNDERSTAND NOT judgment:

But they that seek the Lord
Understand ALL things.

Better is the poor
That walketh in his uprightness,
Than he that is perverse in his ways,
Though he be rich.

Proverbs 28:4-6

Hearken to Me,
Ye that follow after righteousness,
ye that seek the Lord:

Look unto the Rock
Whence ye are hewn,
And to the hole of the pit
Look unto Abraham your father,
And unto Sarah that bare you:

For I called him alone,
And blessed him,
And increased him.

For the Lord shall comfort Zion:

He will comfort all her waste places;
And He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness shall be found therein,
Thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Hearken unto Me, My people;
And give ear unto Me, O my nation:

For a law shall proceed from Me,
And I will make My judgment
To rest for a light of the people.

My righteousness is near;
My salvation is gone forth,
And Mine arms shall judge the people;
The isles shall wait upon Me,
And on Mine arm shall they trust.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
And look upon the earth beneath:

For the heavens shall vanish away like smoke,
And the earth shall wax old like a garment,
And they that dwell therein SHALL DIE in like manner:

But My salvation shall be FOR EVER,
And My Righteousness shall NOT be abolished.

Hearken unto Me,
Ye that know righteousness,
The people in whose heart IS My Law;
FEAR YE NOT the reproach of men,
Neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

For the moth shall EAT THEM UP like a garment,
And the worm shall eat them like wool:

But My Righteousness shall be FOR EVER,
And My salvation from generation to generation.

Awake, awake, put on strength,
O arm of the Lord;
Awake, as in the ancient days,
In the generations of old.
Art Thou not IT that hath cut Rahab,
And wounded the dragon?

Art Thou not IT which hath dried the sea,
The waters of the great deep;
That hath made the depths of the sea
A way for the ransomed to pass over?

Therefore the redeemed of the Lord SHALL return,
And come with singing unto Zion;
And everlasting joy shall be upon their head:

They shall obtain gladness and joy;
And sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

I, even I, AM He that comforteth you:

Who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
And of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
And forgettest the Lord Thy maker,
That hath stretched forth the heavens,
And laid the foundations of the earth;
And hast feared CONTINUALLY every day because of the fury of the oppressor,
As if he were READY to destroy?
And where is the fury of the oppressor?
The captive exile hasteneth
That he may be loosed,
And that he should NOT DIE in the pit,
Nor that his bread should fail.

But I AM the Lord thy God,
That divided the sea,
Whose waves roared:

The Lord of hosts IS His name.

And I have put My words in thy mouth,
And I have covered thee in the shadow of Mine hand,
That I may plant the heavens,
And lay the foundations of the earth,
And say unto Zion,

Thou art my people.

Isaiah 51:1-16

,br>

The word that the Lord spake
Against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans
By Jeremiah the prophet.

Declare ye among the nations,
And publish, and set up a standard;
Publish, and conceal not:

Say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded,
Merodach is broken in pieces;
Her idols are confounded,
Her images are broken in pieces.
,br>For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her (Jerusalem/America),
Which shall make her land desolate,
And none shall dwell therein:

They shall remove,
They shall depart,
Both man and beast.

In those days, and in that time,
Saith the Lord,

The children of Israel shall come,
They and the children of Judah together,
Going and weeping:

They shall go,
And seek the Lord their God.
,br>They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying,

Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord
In a perpetual covenant
That SHALL NOT be forgotten.

My people hath been lost sheep:

Their shepherds have CAUSED them to go astray,
They have turned them away on the mountains:

They have gone from mountain to hill,
They have FORGOTTEN their restingplace.

Jeremiah 50:1-6

Then said the Lord unto me,

Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend,
Yet an adulteress,
According to the love of the Lord
Toward the children of Israel,
Who look to other gods
(cars, clothes, movie stars, etc, etc),
And love flagons of wine
.

So I bought her to me
For fifteen pieces of silver,
And for an homer of barley,
And an half homer of barley
(always about money, isn't it?!!):

And I said unto her,

Thou shalt abide for me many days;
Thou shalt NOT play the harlot,
And thou shalt NOT be for another man:

So will I also be for thee.

For the children of Israel shall abide many days WITHOUT A KING,
And without a prince,
And without a sacrifice,
And without an image,
And without an ephod,
And without teraphim:

Afterward shall the children of Israel RETURN,
And SEEK the Lord their God,
And David their king;
And shall fear the Lord and His goodness
In the latter days.

Hosea 3

Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. 2. And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all. 3. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. 4. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord. 5. And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them. 6. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them. 7. They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions. 8. Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin. 9. Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be. 10. The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water. 11. Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment. 12. Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness. 13. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound. 14. For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. 15. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Hosea 5,/b>
