Overview
The management consulting division of PwC launched its Incubator
offering in March 2000 with a small micro-site and an internal public
sector campaign to raise its awareness. 9 months later and
with a successful stable of incubatees, we were asked
to re-invent the site to reflect their successes and leverage deal-flow.
The revised incubator site was designed to provide incubatees with
a full overview of the PwC incubation process taking in previous
case studies and provided the facility to apply online. Included
in this reinvention was the use of email marketing and flash based
applications to emphasise the technologies used in the online medium.
Following the incubator project we were asked to create the concept
and design for the new global Mobile Business department.
This was a new initiative for PwC and our concept had to cover all
aspects of mobile technology from phones to PDAs to wireless
applications.
Working within strict corporate guidelines we produced a concept
which became the first step forward for PwC with regards to mobile
business initatives.
My Involvement
My involvement in the incubator project was as co-project manager
for creating the flashmail pieces and providing weekly statistical
reports on the incubator sites traffic.
My involvement with the mobile business concept was as project manager,
liasing with the clients daily, briefing the design studio and building
the prototype website. In addion to this I monitored all costs and
budgets with the clients.
NB: The PwC mobile business site has since evolved and developed
forward from our initial concept.
