Overview
Digitial Island
were running a Masterclass Seminar on hosting, streaming
and content delivery. Their target audience for this was CEOs,
MDs & Financial Controlers of blue chip organisations.
They wanted an innovtive way to generate interest in the seminar
and capture registrations rather than that standard direct mailout.
As they had the email addresses of their target audience we suggested
sending a piece of flashmail which linked them directly to the seminar
microsite, which we built, that offered more information and online
registration facilities.
Our recommendation was well founded as most of the mailing list
engaged in the flashmail piece and registered for the seminar. It
was a huge success and proved that new methods of direct mailing
in an online capacity truely do work.
My Involvement
My involvement
in this campaign was to project mangage the creation of the microsite
& flashmail piece, administer the email database mail-out (via
our own internally created email distribution application) and monitor
costs/budgets diectly wth the client at all stages of the project.
As a follow-up to the successful Masterclass Seminar we were asked
to produce some banner advertisements to appear on Sky.com and FT.com
web sites promoting Digital Island. It was my responsiblity for
the project management and delivery of these banners.
