Overview
AT Emile Woolf College approched us with a brief to re-design their
existing website so that they would encourage more return visitors.
Our responce to this was to completely re-brand the entire site
and incorporate an eCommerce system which allowed students from
around the globe to apply for positions at the college easily via
the online browser interface.
The new site was designed to encourage stickiness for
users. To achieve this we incorporated their brochures online, included
course information and timetables as well as other social activities
at the college. We wanted to build the college community right from
the initial contact that prospective students made.
In the first month of the new site going live there were approx
15 applications made online through the new eCommerce system and
ATEW recouped nearly 60% of their development costs back. The site
is a wealth of information being driven by a extensive back-end
SQL database system which is updatable by an online administration
system.
My Involvement
My involvement with this website was as co-project manager where
I was responsible for co-ordinating the design, technical architecture
and site generation.
