Hi! My name is Liz Smith. This website describes my science fair project. My chemistry teacher, Ms. Krueger, assigned me this project. My project involves birds that come in contact with oil. I am determining if Dawn is the best dish detergent to use while cleaning birds to rid them of oil. The birds come in contact with oil in their environments. There may have been an oil spill or oil runoff from a road. A Dawn commercial inspired me to choose this subject for my topic. It talked about how environmentalists use Dawn dish detergent to clean oil off of ducks. The ducks' homes were destroyed from an oil spill.
