| Notice Board | 16/07/2008 Seafood Night Just a quick update for those seafood lovers, the Seafood Night has been moved forward to August 2nd 2008. Details below...................... |
| Notice Board | 02/07/2008 Quiz Night - Spuds Webb Emerges Victorious To put it simply, it was the week of the Munns! Not only did Geoff and Zac both celebrate their 50th games for Walkerville, but later that night, with a strong crowd of 120+ people, the Munns (with some help) also walked away victorious in one of the closest contested quiz nights ever. Zacs passionate victory speech clearly showied how much he treasured their triumph and in true Walkerville style, rightfully basked in the glory of becoming World Champions of Quiz Nights! Thank you to all those who attended. |
| Notice Board | 25/06/2008 Reminder: Club Fees Are Now Over Due! |
| Notice Board | 18/06/2008 Thank you to all those who supported the Annual Ball, held at the Wine Centre on Saturday Night. It proved to be the most successful ball in recent memory for the football club and judging by the reactions on the night, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Special mention needs to go to all those who put their hands up to help, either in the lead up to the event, on the morning of and the night of the event. Also, thank you to those who donated prizes or auction items for the event. Its always good to stage the clubs biggest event of the year and to see everyone get dressed up for the occasion. No doubt a highlight of the night was the auction, when the big spenders came out to play. Credit must be given to Scotty Jenkins for the way he kept the crowd waiting with anticipation before coming in with a MASSIVE bid on the framed Geelong print (the roar from the crowd will not be forgotten quickly) and I must congratulate him on not actually outbidding himself this year, which he infamously did at a previous ball. I hope their were a few hoarse voices the following day, after seeing the way the massive group on the dancefloor belted out John Farnhams, 'You're the voice', not once, but twice! Special mention must also go to club legend, Brett Smid, who was recognised on the evening for his amazing achievement of 1000 goals for the Walkerville Football Club. It is a brilliant achievement and was a great time to recognise it, considering he played his 250th game for the club earlier in the day. Once again, thank you to everyone who supported the club and made the 2008 Annual Ball the most successful ball in memory. |
