Sergei Fedorov
This player is regarded as one of the
best all around players ever in the National Hockey League. Fedorov is a
play maker that always make sure is back to stop the counter attack. Sergei
Fedorov is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL today, and it shows in all
the short handed goals and assist that he has. In his career fedorov has
won the MVP, the Selke (the trophy for the best defensive offender), has
been a fixture at the NHL all star game, played for the Russian Olympic hockey
team in 98 and 02 and won a silver and a bronze, and led the Red Wings to
3 Stanley Cups. He has had two 100 plus point seasons and has never been
minus in the plus minus category. Fedorov lost alot of his fans in Detroit
when Sergei was paid 20 million, an NHL record for pay, dollars for only
playing 21 games due to a contract holdout. Showing that he has mastered
every aspect of the game Fedorov has played center, left wing, and defense.
Sergei has played his career with the Detroit Red Wings, but after this season
was unable to make a deal with Red Wings' GM Ken Holland. Fedorov now says
that he will not sign with the Red Wings turning down a 4 year/40 million
dollar contract.
