WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Friday, October 11, 2002

This has been a chaotic week, but everyone has done a great job. Our class was combined with the first graders Monday-Wednesday due to my family being in town for a couple of days as well as Ms. Colvin being out. We still got a lot of work done this week with both classes being together and are excited about our field trip.

Everyone did a great job on the homework that was due this week. The collages turned out great! We will be trying to do a family project at least once a month throughout the rest of the school year.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up soon. If you haven't made an appointment for Monday morning, October 21st, you need to schedule one. I only have two time slots left. Attached to this newsletter is a form to fill out before conferences. Please fill this out and send it back in as soon as possible.

Homework:
On Monday we will have our cumulative test in Math. It will cover Chapters One-Three. Over the weekend, work with your child on the concepts that we have covered so far in class. (position (top, middle, bottom), left, right, inside, outside, patterns, etc.)

Remember to keep up with both the Reading Calendar as well as the picture to be sent in on Fridays.

FYI: After this week, we will normally only have monthly newsletters. At this point in the school year I don't feel it necessary to have a weekly letter sent home. I will, of course, send home any notes that are needed from week to week as well as homework assignments.

Have a good weekend!

Mrs. Hatch
