Mammalia - Equine

Under the phylum chordata, we find the class mammalia which consists of members such as kangaroos, cheetahs, lions, possums, tigers, primates, coyotes and horses, which will be our main focus of the mammalia.

The mammalia live in all areas of the world where there is food and water and a place for them to live. You will normally find these animals in forrests, fields, and today you will find many of them in zoos, habitat reserves and for the equine species, barns, equestrian centres, and small(about 15 acres and less) fields.

Most species in the mammalia class have a body covering consisting of hair, whether it be in the form of bristles, wool, scales or fur. The horse also has long hairs of the mane and tail which aid in bug and insect removal from their bodies. The animals of the mammalia class are warm-blooded and four-legged. The horse also has 4 limbs, consisting of 2 forelegs, and 2 hindlegs.
