We built this city from blood, sweat and tears.
We built this town from brick and clay.
We stood in awe at what we we saw.
We still do even moreso today.
Our ancestors built mansions
and houses of brick and gold
They all beheld a story
for life to unfold.
Time cannot erase the hard work
or the memories here
Buildings have come some have gone
But the love of Orleans conquers our fear.
Be it wind or hail, storms and rain
Some things come and go
But the love of family, the love of land
will forever stay and grow.
We've seen destruction yes it's true
Destroying everything it seems
But we'll stand tall and rebuild it all
In this city of New Orleans.
You can destroy a building made of brick
and a town into mud and clay
But someone above formed us too
from the same thing I heard them say.
Give us some brick, a shovel or two
some love and a helping hand
For New Orleans will arise from ashes
Until once again it shall stand.
This page is dedicated to Fruno
and to everyone that lives and
resides in New Orleans.
And in Loving Memory of
ALL those who lost
loved ones, friends and pets
who have crossed over to the
other side watching over us.
May your House in New Orleans
be filled with the same
SPIRIT of JOY and HOPE
you have shown us all;
and given to those who forgot
what HOME truly means.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
