AND SUNLIGHT FILLS THE ROOM
WARM RAYS OF RADIANCE
TOUCH THE FACE GENTLY
LIKE A LOVER’S HAND
LOVINGLY CARRESSING THE FACE
SHADOWS PLAY HIDE-N-SEEK
BEING CHASED INTO CORNERS
SOOTHING TROUBLED SOULS
COMFORTING WEARY SPIRITS
LIKE A LOVER’S ARMS
WRAPPED IN A SWEET EMBRACE
EBONY STILLNESS RECEDES
AWAITING THE PASSING HOURS
TO RETURN AND CLAIM
ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE
LIKE A LOVER’S HOMECOMING
FILLED WITH PASSION, WAVES OF RAPTURE

I close my eyes
And it is your face I see
Full of smiles
Showing me the very depth
Of your soul.
I close my eyes
And it is your laughter I hear
Sparkling and clear
Making me know everything
Will be all right.
I close my eyes
And it is your lips I taste
Pressed against mine
Sending chills throughout
My being.
I close my eyes
And it is your body I feel
The rhythm of two
Becoming one
Stirring desire, filling my heart.
I close my eyes
And it is your breath I feel
Falling lightly against my skin
Growing deeper and heavier
As ecstasy is achieved.
I close my eyes
And it is your very being I smell
Clean and pure
Yet full of sexuality
Driving me mad with want.
I close my eyes
And it is your love I know
Wiping away doubt
Giving me the courage
To carry on til we are together.

And all I see
Is the one that has my heart
The one that has found my soul.

COLD RAIN
Cold rain splashes
The back, the chest
Cleansing showers
Refreshing, invigorating
Lightening flashes
Fiercely against the sky
Thunder roars and rumbles
Echoing across time
Captivating space
Spring droplets
Summer storms
Taking on new meaning
When shared
Warm rays, gently touching the face
Caressing as if a lover’s hand
Soft breezes, whispering true
Promises of infinity, of forever
Shared together
Winter wind tearing at the soul
Giving more reason to stand
United as one
Defying that which would rip apart
Snowfall blanketing the earth
Coveting the closeness
Shared by two so completely
Nothing untouched
Drawing closer
Each bringing what the other lacked
Waiting to see
What the new day will bring
Facing the future with hope anew
Cherishing the rain, the sun
Welcoming the wind, the snow
Knowing that nothing else matters
Save for the love of
Each other.

Have you ever stepped into
The early morning mist,
And felt the night’s dew
Cool and wet and new?
Have you ever viewed
A newly fallen flurry
As the snow falls at twilight
Bright and clear in the moonlight?
Have you ever heard
The sound of children at play
Running and tumbling without care
As squeals of laughter and delight fill the air?
Have you ever known
The joy of a parent
When a child first knows their face
Bursting with pride, forgetting time and space?
Have you ever felt
The cool breeze off the ocean
Creating crescendos on the waves
Swirling and ebbing day upon day?
Have you ever heard
The melodic song of the whale?
The gentle giggle of a newborn child?
The soft whisper from a lover’s lips?

The spring rain falling on your face?
