The B.R.E.A.T.H.E Coalition was founded in 1994, formerly known as Horry County Coalition to Limit Youth Access to Tobacco.

The mission of the B.R.E.A.T.H.E Coalition is to organize the citizens and organizations of Horry County and educate them on the affects of tobacco use and thus making Horry County tobacco-free.

Priority Policy Goals:

• Prevent Initiation of Tobacco Use among Youth
• Eliminate exposure to second-hand smoke.
• Promote quitting among youth and adults.
• Promote tobacco-free workplaces and public facilities.

  All community members and organizations interested in helping to make Horry County tobacco-free is encouraged to join.

  • To be informed about the issues relating to tobacco use and abuse.
  • To actively participate in initiatives relating to making Horry County tobacco free.
  • To be apart of the South Carolina and national movement that will prevent 400,000 deaths annually.
