         Halloween--Fright Night Street Dance October 31, 2009 Downtown Blacksburg **Featuring The 16th Avenue Band.** Come out on Halloween night for food, fun, dancing, and of course for those trick-or-treaters candy! There will be a best costume contest for ages 1-12 years. Downtown at stage/gazebo area at the corner of Shelby and Cherokee Streets. Presented by Blacksburg Business Assoc. Admission: FREE Time: 6:30pm to 10:30pm <>No alcohol allowed<> Battle of Kings Mountain Anniversary Encampment October 10 & 11, 2009 Kings Mountain National Military Park The Overmountain men marched from East Tennessee to help win the victory at Kings Mountain. Visit the park to learn about the men and see musket and rifle demonstrations. |
