Specialist Shawn Nelson and Specialist Lance Twomly stay near the target building while the other chalks head to the crash site of Super 61.  The convoy leaves them.

These two soldiers were not actually left behind at the target building.

Little Bird 41 lands and gets a wounded soldier our of Blackhawk Super 61.  He is the only one they see moving.

Actually, two soldiers were flown back to base at this point.  They're names were Staff Sergeant Daniel Busch and Sergeant Jim Smith.

A Blackhawk with a search-and-rescue team ropes in to help the soldiers in Wolcott's bird.  The helicopter is hit and must fly out immediately.

The Blackhawk that dropped the search-and-rescue team was actually damaged by enemy fire.

Mike Durant's Super 64 Blackhawk is hit by an RPG fired by Somalis and it goes down hard.

Super 64 really did crash and right before it crashes Durant screams his copilot's name: "Raaaaayyyyy!"

Delta snipers Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon are circling above in Chief Warrant Officer Mike Goffena's Super 62 Blackhawk.  They are dropped in to protect Super 64's crew until further help arrives.

These two men did not actually talk to General Garrison before they were dropped in at the crash site like they did in the movie.

Matt Evermann's Chalk 4 positioned at Wolcott's crash hear over the radio that the convoy with the prisoners is heading back to base.

In reality Chalk 4 was aboard this convoy and heading back to base at this time.

FICTION

Gary Gordon is shot and killed defending Durant and his injured crew.

Gary Gordon was actually killed trying to defend the Blackhawk's crew.

FACT

Randy Shughart is killed after Gordon dies.

Shughart tries to keep defending against the growing crowd but they overwhelm him.
