My personal philosophy of education is that the next best thing to life, itself, is education. Education is what I consider, the most important part of a child’s life. The key to your future is held with the education you receive in your lifetime. Education holds many different aspects. There is the nature of students, nature of knowledge, purpose of public education, method, and curriculum. Each one of these holds a different meaning and importance for every child. The nature of students should be good and positive. Every child has the power to have a positive attitude. I know and understand that every child does not use his or her power, but most students are genially good. Every child has the hunger to learn they just need to be fed the knowledge. A child is born with the willingness to learn. It is up to me, as an educator, to keep that spark burning inside. I believe that every child is good, willing, ready to learn and experience new things for themselves, and not afraid to try something new. The nature of knowledge should be truthful and come through experience. When children experience something for themselves, they are more likely to learn from the mistakes or examples. With more chances to do things for themselves, the children will learn to appreciate things more and have a better understanding of the environment around them. Knowledge is the key to unlock all the doors to the future. As an educator, it is important to be truthful and always honest to help our students find the right path for them to take in their lives. The overall purpose of education is that a child has everything that one needs to have a bigger and brighter future. A good education is what shapes us to who we are in life. Without an education, a child could be doomed to failure in life. I believe that a proper education is the greatest gift that could ever be given to a child. As an educator, it is my responsibility to be a provider to my students, help stress the importance of a good education, and get them on track to a brighter tomorrow. The method, by which I will teach, will be hands on and adapted to all the learning styles of my students. It is important to be flexible and ready to change at anytime to the everyday curriculum. Students need variety in their lives and the chance to express themselves in what they are learning. In my field of science, it is really important to be hands on and have lots of lab activities to demonstrate and explore the all areas. The curriculum used should be adapted to all-learning styles and flexible to every child. With the field of science, there are endless possibilities on the subject areas that could be taught. Science is important because it explores the universe and answers most of the questions that we have been wondering about. An open mind is important to have when dealing with the field of science. Being able to accept different theories and ways to explain things could broaden minds, welcome better thoughts and give an appreciation for science. As an educator, I want my students to enjoy the field of science, not be afraid to explore new things, and find the answers out for themselves. In general, I want to have fun and make sure my students have fun in the learning process too. I want to make sure that my students know I am human and I will make mistakes. However I will be there if and when they need me. What makes you and breaks you in life is how good of an education you have received. I hope to impact many children’s lives and turn them on to the field of science. My dream is to impact all of my students and help them find the right paths to take. I intend to stress the importance of education to them and open their eyes to a bigger and brighter future.
