BOOTS -- CHRISTMAS
Christmas Alone- The holiday season has come round once again
- and the little ones will wait for our red dressed friend
- Many a smile will be put on a small childs face
- and while on the table there's great food to taste

- For alot of folks that is what Christmas brings
- but some people don't have joy and all the pretty things
- Their lives are a struggle and money is real tight
- and sometimes they are cold and go hungry at night
- Bills are piling up and the rents way past due
- and now Dad is gone and Mom has the flu
- The little ones wonder at toys and bright lights
- while their house is dark and cold most winter nights
- Across town an elderly woman has no one who will come
- and she will not be visited and of gifts she'll not have one
- Her husband past some years ago, and time goes by alful slow
- while here she sits lonely, scared and just growing old
- Think of these people when you sit and enjoy this holiday season
- go and visit one, there doesn't have to be a reason
- Make their day a little less grey in this time of cheer
- and perhaps you'll save an eye from shedding another tear
