Where?
- The childs red swollen eyes looked up at her
- she swallows and her heart and feelings stir
- Where's Daddy? the small voice cuts like a knife
- it's tough to be single and not be a wife

- Years have passed but the feelings still run deep
- and her child exists but doesn't let out a peep
- Frustration and shame turns her face crimson red
- and she remembers all the cruel words said
- One day perhaps this hurt will finally pass
- and maybe those long lonely nights will be their last
- Perhaps her child will recover and have a dad
- and not have to go through life being so sad
- Till then life must go on and they will survive
- while one day their wishes and hopes will arrive
- So it is with so many families in this time and day
- I hope one day someone will find a better way
- If this happens to you I pray things get better
- as I try to help you through all my letters
- Maybe somehow they might help ease the pain
- and perhaps they might help keep you sane.....
