The Loss

There are many couples that have lasted through time
sharing a love that is so fleeting and hard to find
When one passes on it is a terrible shock
and you cannot plan when deaths hand will knock
The loneliness is painful and part of you is gone
and most nights are spent crying till dawn
Everyone says it too will pass, if only it was that way
you wouldn't wake up with a heartache each day
Your partner, your mate is now gone from your life
no one to protect you from the days troubles and strife
A part of them you will always hold in your heart
but to move on with your life you know you must start
It's not going to be easy after all the good years
not having your mate to calm and ease your fears
But onward you must go and start a life anew
or you won't know what the world has in store for you
In time there could be another that starts a glow
and if you don't try you'll never really know
I know the past haunts you, but you have to try
to see and feel again without a tear in your eye...

Ahhhh, Dear Ones I know the loss is great. My heart hurts for you in your loss. I hope this room may help ease the pain and help you to go on. I have been there and the pain is deep. But you know you must go on as they would have wanted you too... *Boots*
