Sometimes things just don't go the way we wish them to do,
and when we see the results we feel like a real fool
There are times we have to take a moment to just stop and say,
maybe the man upstairs is going to show us a much better way.
With the world racing past us at breakneck speed it's hard to pause,
when everyone who depends on you wants to know the cause.
Regardless of others influence we must choose a path that is true,
and that decision may turn others against you and make you blue.
Some of their intentions are kind and well meant so they say,
but through the fog they really want you to do it their way.
The choice that is made you'll have to live with for all time,
just remember you are not perfect and things will be fine.
Don't be afraid to ask for help when your need is so great,
and to hurry a choice is not an option so they'll have to wait.
So take life as it comes, and don't worry about things you can't change,
just look them in the eye and smile and on with the game...
