Stand Up To It
- Although my load is heavy I shall go on
- my tears fall like rain untill the days dawn
- Now I must wash my face and act the part
- and never let on that I suffer a broken heart

- Oh the pain hurts me deep and never seems to end
- but I must be strong as an oak tree and just bend
- For to break the pains will have finally won
- and that would mean my struggle was finally done
- I'll not let that happen, I won't let them see my fear
- and i'll be damned if I let them see another tear
- My head will not hang, and my back will not bow
- and then they will never ever really know
- One day I pray my pain will ease and I will be free
- and another sad tear my eyes will never see
- Till then I must smile and try to be gay
- so I can make it through just one more day
- Some of you feel and know of what I speak
- and I pray that someday soon you'll get the relief
- There is hope loved one, just stand and be firm
- and chalk it up as another bitter lesson learned...
