perhaps when you were in serious trouble you tried where you laid
Not many nowdays can say they actually look to him for guidence
especially in these times of strife, pain, and of course all the violence
They say he is not real and try to tear down symbols of his love
and you can almost feel the pain and see the tears fall from above
The bible has been abused and torn from our grasp by people who hate
ohhh such will be a day when they learn of their burning last fate
It is a time of anger, of disrespect, of indecenty, and just not careing
woe it is a world of not my choosing but one that I have been sharing
I am guilty as all of the rest for not taking a stand and saying enough
we must come together and put this right before it really gets rough
Join me now and kneel where you are and look into the stars for him
bow your head and really confess that this is just not another whim
Pray for things to change and ask what you can do to really help
afterwords perhaps you can try to explain how your answer felt
