as you don't know what all their going to do
With drugs and guns all around in our lives
you wonder how anyone today actually survives
Very few morals exist and there is no respect shown
none of the old ways are taught anymore in the home
A new baby used to be a blessed event in a couples life
but now abuse and pain puts the child in deep strife
What happened to Love, kindness, respect, and loyality?
now all people think about is maybe getting a royality
No concern for a fellow being anymore is the rule
and if you take the time to help someone you are a fool
Betwween the law telling you how to raise your child
and parents who don't care enough to stop their being wild
We need to relearn the old ways before we are lost
or sooner or later we are all going to have to pay the cost
A child born today should at least have a chance
to see his parents in love and still have romance
The child should feel love, not abuse and pain
not have to have those tears that fall like rain
