- Kids, what they do to our live's is sometimes fun
- and other times we wish there were none
- We try so hard to bring them into our live's
- it's sometimes a blessing in a thin disguise

- What would we do without a childs point of view
- I think our live's would be both bleak and blue
- They bring a freshness to a world that is cold
- and their energy can be a source of growing old
- Their eyes glow with life and their laughter rings
- and they never worry about the material things
- A toy, a hug, is what they have in their mind
- and parents give them even if it puts them in a bind
- Through diaper changes and teen first dates
- who knows what perils in their lives awaits
- Trust in God and our raising them right
- we hope and pray they prosper each night
- Nowdays kids and parents go through hell
- so heres my words wishing them well
- Take time to know each other and listen
- and tears of sorrow on your face won't ever glisten...
