Sometimes life seems to put you in some heck of positions
and takes you through some of the strangest transitions
Whether or not you continue on is a choice we all have to face
and it doesn't matter your age, gender, or even your race

Being put behind the eightball is a exppresion used as on the spot
and sometimes it can make you try to be what you are not
Again the choice is yours to make to do the right thing
like whether or not to offer, or accept a wedding ring

Think about it, are you not being put on the spot?
and a wrong answer could lose you all you have sought
But then again accepting could cause you pain and fear
and a life around someone you don't want to be near

Works both ways doesn't it? Ahhh now i have your attention
remember people we can't always meet the right one
But you can learn from the wrong ones and go on living
and one day you will meet the one who will be kind and giving

Being behind the eightball is just part of life that we have to accept
and please don't be gunshy and be scared to get your feet wet
If you don't try again how will you ever know if thers someone for you
belive it or not there are some people out there who won't make you blue...
