The Chat Room

• When you visit a chat room on the web it can be neat
• as you never know who you will talk to or even meet
• Some are good, some are bad, some are weird
• and some make you think while some make you skeered
• You listen and watch and you begin to see who you like
• and you also see who you want to tell
• Bonding with the regulars you share their ups and downs
• and sometimes you get mad at some of the clowns
• Each of us has a story, each of us has our share of hell
• and soon your friends in the room know your story well
• We come together and try to help when we possibly can
• as people who care about each other will rise and stand
• Sharing laughter and tales of woe we grow strong
• sometimes gossip interferes with judgement and that is wrong
• But soon truth comes out and hearts start to mend
• and after a while a foe is welcomed as a friend
• The circle is tight and our caring reaches far beyond
• and our words and thoughts help one sleep till dawn
• Our chat room is part of the world that we live
• so we must share our thoughts and learn to give...
